Rehearsal Dinner Locations near Paramus

FI and I are trying to brainstorm locations to have the rehearsal dinner near Paramus.

We are doing Italian food for the wedding so we want to stay away from that for the rehearsal.  We are willing to do American/Burgers, Japanese, Chinese or Mexican etc...

Paramus is a central location between the church and the Park Ridge Marriott where the out of town guests are staying so we think its a good general area but anything near the hotel is fine too.

We would like a restaurant with an area where they can accommodate a party and where its not more than $50.00 a head?  Also, we want a location that has the staff to handle a party--not a small restaurant that really can't handle it.   Any suggestions?

Check out Chakra - a beautiful, hip mediterranean restaurant with great appetizers.  I thought the food would be too "ethnic" for someone like me - I like plan food - but it is incredible.

What about The Park Steakhouse right in Park Ridge?  It says online it's $5 more a head than you'd like, but maybe you can cut something out?

How about "The Brownstone"?  My rehearsal is there and it is 40$ a head.  They obv. accomodate big parties all the time and you would have the room to yourself.  You can customize the menu as well as to what you want.

I agree with The Park steakhouse.  My parents hosted my brother's rehearsal dinner at The Park Steakhouse and it was really good.  They have a private room downstairs with a bar.

You can also try Bacari Grill in Washington Township, but I'm not sure if their prices are more than $50 a head.

The Brownstone is pretty far but it's good.  How many people are you planning on having?  Kiku's is a great Hibachi/Japanese place right on 17.  Or Grand Lux Cafe at GSP is also good.  What day of the week were you planning your dinner?
