The Park Savoy and Pleasantdale Chateau - Question????

Hello!
I just got engaged this past weekend and I started my search on venues. I was wondering if anyone knows the price range for these two venues (Park Savoy and Pleasantdale Chateau) on a Friday or Sunday night in July/August?

Also, what is the quality of food regarding these two venues? 

FYI ...I am also looking at Venetian and Seasons too. This is the type of venue I am intersted regarding appearance and quality of food.

I would really appreciate feedback!

Def. check out The Estate at Florentine Gardens (it's literally 10mins away from Season's). We're having our wedding there in Sept. Paying $205/pp (which includes tax & gratuity). Heard from a few friends who have gone to weddings there that the food is very good.

I'm getting married at the Park Savoy on a Friday in June 2013. We booked before the renovation, and are paying $150/person which includes the ceremony. I can't wait to see it when the renovation is complete!

I'm recently engaged and looked at park Savoy the other day. I fell in love with this place online (seriously thought as soon as I walked in it would be the place for me ), never been there before. Unfortunately, I was disappointed to say the least. The lady who let us in was super nice but the lady who gave the tour was not. It felt like we were bothering her and she wasn't trying to sell us really. There was no flexibility for an off season month, no extra add ins, and she did not listen to what I wanted or try work with me at all. The grounds are pretty and so is the building it self ( lacks the wow factor it has online) and boy is it expensive. But personally  all that money would not be worth my guests sitting in the grass and not ideally having what I want.

That's was just my experience.

I am shopping around with my fiance and I can speak for the both of us when I say the Park Savoy is over-priced. For what they are asking, do yourself a favor and go to the Pleasantdale..you get a hell of a lot more bang for your buck. Park Savoy looks like a funeral parlor (not kidding, there is a funeral parlor down the road that my mother had to go to and she mistakenly pulled into the Park Savoy). It is not a mansion, it looks like a regular house. This is the type of place your guests will think you got a great deal on, but the joke will be on you. Their prices simply do not add up. They said they spent millions in renovations, and then I realized what they spent it on- the "man cave" they built downstairs that they want to charge you an additional $4,500 for!

The park savoy is a breathtaking, well kept and an overall stunning venue. Definitely my fiancé and I's first choice in a venue thus far- I will say that this venue was our absolute favorite, and we haven't seen a venue like this one since. The only negative is this venue is VERY overpriced, especially talking to those brides who have a guest list of 200+ people, you're talking over 60k for a wedding there. We had a proper tour, the staff and tour guide were both extremely friendly and helpful, they even squeezed us in last minute over the last week when I had called asking if my parents can come for a follow up tour and look at the place with us- but once we saw the glitz and glam and sat down to talk numbers- I was astounded. It was a jaw dropping $260pp on a Saturday during the fall season, $210pp on a Friday and $165 on a Sunday. Although we adore this place, it isn't reasonable for us. the money that would be spent is more than enough for a down payment on a future home. The man cave was a huge hit for my fiancé- but again, an additional $1500 to use that room during the reception as well as after the reception for approx. one hour, which had us both biting our tongues as we left. We have not visited the Pleasantdale chateau yet- but we are planning on it for next weekend. If prices are the same or higher we are probably going to continue our search. I'm just stunned that people would spend more than $50k for a wedding- that just blows my mind. All of you brides out there- think about spending over 50-60k on a 5 hour event. Bonkers.

I am pretty sure Pleasantdale is even more. You should call and ask for a price range before you go and get your heart set on something you can't afford. I learned that the hard way!

Stone House in Warren NJ was our close second. I have to say, that venue did not carry itself based off of landscape or outdoor views, but more so on the rustic/country/modern feel on the inside of the place. It was extremely spacious, and so different from what we've been looking at so far. It had a home-y type of feel, not so much a traditional wedding type of feel. There, it was $162pp on a Sunday, on a Saturday it was $200pp and I believe $180pp on a Friday during the fall season. Our tour guide got our rates dropped more than 10% for us and we also got shall I say "goodie bags" on our way out. We felt extremely at ease, and stress free which we have never felt before while touring a venue, and the greatest and most personable tour guide led the way for us. The bridal suite is rather small, and it's attached to a second floor "lounge" which overlooks the cocktail hour- I was not crazy about this. Although it adds a fun touch, I would've preferred a private and more quiet bridal suite where no one could instantly see me and try to come talk to me upstairs as I got ready or freshened up. The ballroom was elegant- but simple. The chandeliers resembled lamps and that again was a huge turn off for me, the ballroom and the view are the biggest contenders towards finding THE place for my wedding. (Entertainment and food excluded from the tour obviously) but the only other 2 negatives I have to say were 1. That there are two weddings a time here, but in separate buildings WITH separate kitchens- Although there would be the slight chance of someone walking into the wrong building, it was not alarming to us, rather confusing because there were no nicknames or numbers for either building which could leave guests a bit puzzled upon arrival. 2. The backyard/ view was just as a patio would look. Completely covered in stone, not many views, and a wrap around bonfire in each corner of the place with pillows- although this adds a nice warm touch, it leaves no WOW factor, and both my fiancé and I are huge on landscapes and a beautiful view during the fall season (who isn't?!). Our tour guide also threw in an option for us to have a candy bar for our guests as they depart from the reception, that we would NOT have to pay for! She had also mentioned to us that if we wanted to customize or swap anything from the menu that that too was on the house, we would not have to pay a penny to make "our wedding" ours. This venue was MUCH more reasonable and although it wasn't exactly what I want in a reception, I would be at ease knowing that Stone House works WITH you, not against you. The staff were all super friendly and attentive and our tour guide made us extremely relaxed and comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place to brides looking for a reasonably priced venue with a ton of fun and personalization options.

I am getting married at the pleasantdale next June on a Friday night and it is about $250 per person with a 150 person minimum. There is an extra fee for the after party that we are definitely doing too. but so far we love everything the venue had to offer and are expecting perfection from them!

I had the same experience.  Their quote was outrageous.
