I am sorry this happened to you. I also had a trial with her, loved my makeup but felt something wasn't right and didn't book her (plus my wedding was on a Friday and I heard a few reviews about her and Friday weddings- if her NYC work runs long she has to cancel the day of the wedding and I couldn't take that risk). I had trials with a few others and eventually found Amy Jones who has a similar style and is an absolute doll and a pleasure to work with. I can PM you her phone number if you need another MUA.

I hada bad experience with her too! I had an appointment for a trial with her which she canceled by sending me an email at midnight the day of my trial. Good thing I checked my email! She said she fell and broke her nose. I then proceeded to set up another appointment with her and again I get an email after midnight the day of my trial saying she needed emergency surgery. Something seemed fishy about the situation so I decided to look elsewhere.

Sorry you had such a bad experience!  I'm not sure why people don't realize they are running a business and that they need to treat their customers with the utmost customer service possible.

I had actually contacted Jeanine to do my wedding as well.  She said she had a wedding that day but since mine was earlier she could do me (and my 8 BM and 2 moms) first.  I opted to look elsewhere because I did not want her to have to rush through me or my girls or risk making her late and ruining another bride's day.

Sounds like maybe going back to "running a business 101" is in order.

SAME HERE! I confirmed with her two days before my trial thenat 11pm the night before (when I was sleeping) she said she had to pick up her nieces and couldn't do my appointment, could we maybe switch to a later time that day? I took off of work, scheduled it at a specific time because she is an hour away from me, and then had other appointments that day. I told her I couldn't make it, to which she responded we could still do the initial time because since she hadn't heard from me, she picked up her nieces early. I was just VERY turned off and am now using a family friend who did a fantastic job and is MUCH more reasonably priced!

Thank you for saying this!! I had such a bad experience with another makeup artist (Derya Fejzula) and when I wrote to her about how disappointed I was, she wrote me a nasty email back. Talk about "professional".

I used Jeanine for my wedding and had a great experience from the trial to the day of my wedding.

She was professional and everyone loved their makeup. I have recommended her to a lot of my friends and they were extremely pleased as well. 

Sorry you had a bad experience but that doesn't seem to be the norm with her.
