I spent $500 for a similar package but it included hair and makeup and unlimited outfit changes. I also received a high-res CD of all the images. I used Sarah Schulte/Sassyfrass and couldn't be happier.

I would want to know more about the "60 images to choose from."  Does that mean she'll have at least 60 proofs, and you get to choose 20 to go in your album?  Or does it mean that you get copies of at least 60 images?  (And if so, what form are they in?  High res digital files?  Other?)

Wow...Now that's a deal! Did you get an album? Where did you go to shoot with her?

I feel like Jenerations package isn't really a bargain- It doesn't include hair/make up or a a hi-res dvd, but I do love her work

I got an album included and she shoots out of her home right outside of Philly (by King of Prussia). She was sooo super nice and I had a group session (shot individually of course) along with 3 other October brides. I'm not sure what your timeline is however because I know she's expecting/just had a baby and her next sessions aren't until spring.

I would use Angela Pilat.  The other's to me look like snapshots.  I wouldn't even pay half that.  Just MHO.  I think, honestly, they are taking advantage of the market because they are female and know that most clients will want a female photographer.

Thanks Sherri... I will contact her. I decided to give the book to my FI for his birthday instead of for the wedding, so I have until August. I wanted to do the session sometime in May/early June- hopefully she is able!

When I went the package was different, but when she refers to 60 images to choose from she means she takes a ton of pictures (she took 200+ of me) and then you get to choose 60 of those for her to edit and send to you in high-res digital files.  My package included 50 images (not 60) but I actually wound up getting 200 edited high-res files from her in total because she took each of those 50 and added different color effects (black and white, sepia, etc.) to each one... so I had TONS to use when putting together my album.

i used millie b and paid around $700
that included makeup, about 2 and a half hours of shooting (although i think i was there for closer to 3 or so), 5-7 outfits (i think i had 8 though), 3-4 background changes, 20 page album, and a disc with pictures set to music....
the high res images were extra
probably overpaid, but i was so happy with how everything turned out, and i had a great time...and dh loves it, so it was worth it to me

Wow the B pic packages are getting more expensive every time. I think it's due to the popularity.

They're expensive, but the group packages are always cheaper.  I opted not to do a group package, but it generally knocks off $100-$200 with most photographers - so that's definitely a more cost-efficient option.
