Need help with hair and makeup

Good Morning Ladies! 

I need some assistance with hair/makeup reccomentations. 

At this point I am thinking of getting my makeup done at the MAC counter in the mall behind my venue!!!!

I have looked at previous posts and the vendor review board and am having a tough time finding an affordable hair and make-up person. All of the quotes I have been getting (Just for make-up) have been $100+ for the trial and $150-$250+ for the day of makeup. That is 1/2 the price of my dress! 

Wedding is 11/11 in Jersey City and I would be willing to travel a short distance if needed but would really like to have someone come to the hotel. 

I will only need it for 1-3 people which makes it even tougher. 

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Are you getting married @ LH or Maritime Parc?  My friend used Cristina Pignataro- she is also in the vendor reviews.  She travels and I think will work for a small amount of people.  One of my best friends also works @ a salon in Hoboken if you're interested for her for your hair.  I can send you her name.

Also, look into The Posh Bride.  They are sisters who do hair and makeup and will travel to you.  I am almost sure I am using them for makeup.  Good Luck!

My MUA is a former MAC girl and is now a Sephora girl, she's amazing and charges $65 and most likely will charge $45 for other people. I believe she lives in Fairfield.

I can't help on the hair though...

I used make-up by Denise and she is very affordable and will come to you. She was WONDERFUL to work with!!

Gina Brozon is $100 for bride's makeup, including false lashes, and I believe the trial is $50. She will travel to you, but she does require a minimum of the bride plus 2 people.
You'd probably be able to save a little money, and there wouldn't be a minimum required if you traveled to a salon location, rather than the person traveling to you.
I don't know if Gina offers that, but she does work out of a salon, so it is worth looking into. She does an amazing job!

Also, FYI, I tried contacting Christina Piganataro multiple times when shopping for a MUA and she never returned any of my calls or emails, so I gave up on her.

I used Gina Brozon for makeup and I was very pleased with her. I don't know what her prices are like now.

What's wrong with going into Newport Mall? They have a Macy's there with several makeup counters (like MAC), plus a Sephora. That actually might be your best option.

I got my hair done at Alter Hair Salon in Bayonne and it cost me about $40. I think her name is Corrine. IDK if she travels since she's the owner and solo stylist. But she's nice and she did a good job. My other BMs got their hair done at Teezerz ($$$) and Haircutting Plus, also in Bayonne.

Hi! I have a friend who just did my hair and makeup for my engagement party this weekend. Everyone loved it, especially the hair. She was really reasonable and did a great job. I can send you a pic of what she did for me and her info/website if you want. She lives in Cliffside Park and is willing to travel to your house/hotel etc. She came to my apartment and was finished in just over an hour for both hair and makeup. PM me if you want her info.

Cranford is pretty far from Jersey City, and I don't believe Sally travels to you.
