Poll: Which is better?

Based on your own experience, research, and/or things you've heard through the grapevine, which is generally better for men's tuxedo rentals in terms of customer service, price, and quality?

I know that those things usually vary depending on which specific store you go into, but I'm looking for a general and overall choice.  And we need some type of chain store because we have groomsmen from all over the state (if you have a suggestion for another chain tuxedo store, please let me know).

ETA - Please explain why you chose the chain store you did whether it was Men's Wearhouse, Dante Zeller, or some other one.

I chose mens because I believe that if you rent 4 tuxes then the grooms is free.  I am sure someone can correct me if I am wrong.

Yeah, I think I saw something like that there.  But I just received a free catalog that I requested from Dante Zeller and it came with a coupon that expires 9/7/10 that says:

    Complete Tuxedo Package
-$99 - selected worsted wool tuxedo and selected vest and shoe
    or...
-$119 - selected worsted wool tuxedo and any vest and shoe

    When choosing Dante Zeller:
-The groom's tuxedo rental is free with five paid attendants
-Ring bearer complete package - $79

I'm just not sure if any of that is good or not and/or if Men's Wearhouse is better and/or has better deals.

We went with Hollywood Bridal for tuxedo's and have been extremely happy so far. We steered clear of the chains.

We just had our groomsmen visit us I cooked dinner or we all went out for lunch and they got fitted (2 local guys, 4 guys from long island, CT, and Albany NY) We used Biltmore and were really pleased.

We went with Dante Zeller because the locations were more convenient for our wedding (our groomsmen who were renting tuxes were on LI, we're in Manhattan, and my dad is in NJ), but my husband has rented from Men's Warehouse before.  I voted that they're the same because there were problems both times.  For our wedding, my father in law asked for his tux to be available I think on Tuesday (for Saturday -- so earlier than usual, he's very paranoid).  It wasn't ready until Wednesday, and it was the wrong size so he had to go back to get it the next day.  All worked out well.  Not sure if this matters or not but he wanted a different tux from what the other guys had, so it wasn't arranged through our wedding's reservation.

My husband had wrong size issues with Men's Warehouse when he was in another wedding, and the measuring process required a long wait (in Manhattan) and a lot of attitude from the staff (again, Manhattan -- if you've ever been to Duane Reade you may know that bad customer service isn't rare here).

So neither is a clear winner for us.  The Dante Zeller people we dealt with (Somerville I think -- near there at any rate) were super nice, for what it's worth.

We used Cozy in Nutley.  They do also have several locations (Cozy/Lovelane).  But just so you know, your guys can get measured at any tuxedo shop and have the measurements called in to one tux shop.  Then the day of your rehearsal, the guys can all get them at one store.

We went with Dante Zeller. We went to the location at the Willowbrook Mall in Wayne. (And we also have people all over the state & NY and outside tri-state)

We didn't go with Men's Wearhouse bc
    1) we were unimpressed with the tux selection
    2) they didn't have the colors we were looking for
    3) the service at the one we went to was not very good, they couldn't even find the ivory color swatches and couldn't be bothered with helping us or answering questions

We had the exact opposite experience at DZ. The woman was extremely helpful from the second we walked in and showed us everything and we fell in love with this beautiful Calvin Klein tux and they had the exact color scheme we were looking for. And FI's tux is free :-) (We didn't need to bring in a coupon either for this)

We used Colemans Tuxedo - no one was local except for my husband, the guys all picked up the day before and they made the adjustments right there

We used Men's Warehouse in Paramus.  They were great to work with, had the exact color we wanted and they did a great job.  We went with them because we had several people from OOT that needed tuxes and they had local MW in their area, which made it super easy.    My Dad even ordered and picked up his tux in Indianapolis where he lives and brought it with him, it was just much easier.

We haven't decided where we are going for tuxedos yet but FI was pretty adamant that he did NOT want to go to Mens Wearhouse.  He said he wore tuxes from them for 2 weddings he was in and there were size issues from start to finish both times and they got worse as the night went on.  Since I have clearly never worn one I'm letting him pick where he wants to go.

We went with DZ. We went into Lovelane and were not impressed. The $99 deal with DZ is a bad tux, but the guy gave us a better tux for the same price and we got 2 free tuxes. There were size issues, but all was fixed and replaced overnight. We went to the one in Hazlet and the guy gets frazzled, but it all works out. We were also in the height of prom season so he had that going on as well!

We also used Cozy Tux in Nutley and one of our groomsmen lives in VA so he got measured elsewhere and then called in his measurements.  Things seemed to work out really well with them.  They have about 5 locations around the state and when we were returning they even said the one groomsmen could return his to the Westfield location since that was more convenient for him.
