addrsssing envelope question....

So I was wondering how to address an envelope to my uncle with a guest and his son.

I was thinking Mr. XXX & Guest
with his son's name on the following line, then the address.

I don't want to say "& Family" because my older cousin (his daughter) is getting an invite for herself, but his son is younger.

I thought maybe someone on here has been in a similiar situation and had an idea.

Your thoughts?

Are you doing outer and inner envelopes?

If you are doing both outer and inner envelopes, then children under 18 should not be addressed on the outer envelope. You would just put Mr. XXX and Guest on the outer, and then include his son's name on the inner one.

How much younger is he? I have one cousin who is 21 (she's in the wedding) and her brother is 17. I also have another cousin who is 16. The two under 18 ones are getting their own invitation anyway. I figured if I was sending one to all of my other cousins individually why not just do the same for the other two? Plus that leaves out the akwardness for addressing the envelope to my aunt and uncle and then one of their children and not the other....and also for them writing their names on the response card. It's only two extra invites so I didn't think it was a big deal.

I'm defintiely not an envelope expert, but if you're doing inner and outer the outer would just be addressed to your uncle like this:

    Mr. Uncles Full Name
    Address
    Address

    And the inner would be:
Mr. Uncle's Last Name & Guest
    Cousin's First Name
    ----------------------------------------------------------
If you're just doing outer I think you would put:

Mr. Uncle's Full Name and Guest
    Cousin's Full Name
    Address
    Address

I have the same question except I am only doing an outer envelope. In my case I am inviting a family Mom dad two daughters and son. Do I address the envelope the Smith Family or do I put all their names on the envelope.

I am only doing an outter envelope and my younger cousin is 12, so I wasn't going to give him his own invite (although, once I have the exact number of everything, I may be able to any way).  I think it will be Mr. Uncle's name & Guest with couin's name under.  Thanks everyone!

Sully - I think for that you can put Mr. & Mrs. XXX & Family, but again - I'm not an envelope expert :-)
