Golf Club at Mansion Ridge (Monroe, NY)

I attended a lovely bridal shower at the Golf Club at Mansion Ridge today. It's in Monroe, NY (Orange County), not too far from the NJ border. If anyone wants a more in-depth review let me know.

Just wanted to mention it in case any of you are looking to host a shower for a friend, or something.

Sure! The room where the shower was held was very pretty, with high ceilings and some of the walls were stone. I'd say there were maybe 40 women in attendance and there was plenty of room for everyone. The temperature was fine the whole time, maybe a little cold near the end but I was fine with a sweater on.

There were water and soda pitchers on every table, and there was a small counter with pitchers of water and soda, iced tea, some kind of punch and a big bowl champagne sangria/punch.

The food was very good. The invite said that it was a "tea," so IDK what other food options there are to choose from but what we had was yummy. Different kinds of sandwiches (I saw chicken salad and tuna and all I ate was tuna), cheeses and crackers, fruit and veggie platters, open-faced cucumber sandwiches, and a few hot chafing dishes of mini-appetizers (asparagus and cheese in phyllo, quiches, scallops wrapped in bacon, eggrolls, shrimp rangoons). The hostesses made cookie platters for each table and there was a cake but IDK where it was from. There was tea and coffee on a table and people served themselves. The tea water was hot but the coffee pitchers were cold so someone asked the staff to bring out hot coffee.

One hostess brought her own big white wicker bridal chair so IDK if they have one available. The guests' seats had white chair covers and green tulle bows. There was lots of room near a back window for the gift table. It was easy to pull the cars up somewhat near the entryway to load up the gifts (you had to walk across a little patio to get to the cars you were loading, but not a long walk at all and no stairs). I was at one of the hostesses' house afterward and happened to see the food order slip, and it looked like it was in the $25pp range.

It was really nice. If you're looking to host an event somewhere I think that would be a good place. Hope this helps!
