Is this crazy?

I am sitting here listening to Christmas music and surfing the web for things I want for myself and things to buy for others.  Too soon? haha Anyone else with me?  (Peaches, I am pretty sure you are....haha)

I was listening to z100 on my drive to the bus this morning and they started playing Christmas music to see if they were "ready" yet. I got way too excited and began frantically searching for a Christmas CD in my car to bring to work. I didn't have one, and I'm sad now. I'm right there with you. I love that Christmas stuff is all in the stores- I'm excited for Thanksgiving, but it even feels like Christmas with how cold it is outside!

People say to wait until after Thanksgiving. That's great- but when you live anywhere else besides the US Christmas does come right after Halloween (ahem... they don't have Thanksgiving). So why not!

I really was contemplating starting looking for the xmas decorations last night. lol.  Since our wedding is coming up so fast I thought I would get an early start with decorating when I have time.  Maybe I will do this tonight. Hope FI doesnt think I am crazy.

For me, December 24 is too soon for Christmas music.  With the exception of some classical stuff (like Messiah (I guess that isn't technically Christmas), Nutcracker Suite, Corelli's Christmas Concerto, all which I love), I can't stand at least 95% of Christmas music.  I can be a bit of a grinch about it...

I do like All I Want For Christmas and My Only Wish This Year (if any of you know that one!!!)  But hearing Jingle Bell Rock even once a year is one time too many.

ETA: I should say that I love Christmas, love Christmas shopping, and love Christmas decorations... just don't like the music that goes along with it.

I ordered christmas cards and return addresses last week!  I also started thinking about how I'm going to decorate the fireplace mantle and what I'm going to cook for x-mas dinner.  Usually I'm not nearly this early, but I think b/c I saw those cards I loved, it put me in the mood.

Heather- I love "Grown up Christmas list" too

If my house wasn't a completely disaster I would totally start shopping for decorations, haha

I bugged DH to let me get a real tree this year- but now I just want to put the fake one out and decorate so it looks pretty. But, fake ones just aren't the same as real. I love the smell!

I am SO with you, Felicia!!!  :-)

I was just complaining to my sister yesterday because the day after Halloween seems like the perfect time to start playing Christmas music on the radio... Thanksgiving Day just isn't cutting it for me anymore, haha!

I've had my Christmas CDs on repeat for the past two days, I picked up our Christmas cards three weeks ago and finished up our Christmas card mailing list this weekend, and... as humiliating as this is to say... I'm reading a novel by Debbie Macomber right now that, of course, takes place around the holidays.

    I think I need help...  :-)

Edit: Because of my whining about how Christmas music should start being played after Halloween, I started a thread on my month board last night about the best Christmas CDs (Felicia, I think we have some sort of psychic Christmas connection, haha).

I think so too Peaches.  We don't usually send out Christmas cards but I think I want to this year.  But I want to take a picture of our family (H and I and our bunny boy) and use that as our card.

Allie, I also want a real tree so bad, there is nothing like a real tree but we both agreed we would wait until we buy our next house to get a real tree, we just don't have that much room.

Wow, I think I got everyone in the Christmas mood, glad I am not the only crazy one here.

I love Christmas but I am not going to lie, I think November 1st is a little early for it. We haven't even made it to Thanksgiving yet!
