wedding programs $1.50 EACH?

Im terrible with this kind of DIY stuff.  I found someone on ETSY who will do my programs (she is doing my escort cards) but she charges $1.50 per program.  I need about 200+ programs.
Any ideas/ suggestions?
She said she could send me the digital file for $40, and then I could get them printed (I guess at staples? or something).  Has anyone done this?

How many people are you planning on inviting and having to the wedding? We had 140 confirmed guests, we printed 100 programs, and had at least 30 left over, so I don't think you need a program for every confirmed guest. I do think 1.50 is a little high, I think I paid 1.00 each, but like you, I'm not DIY oriented and would probably pay it.

I was thinking of printing mine on www.123print.com (Where I got my invites) for $.89 but I am a little worried it may be to small since its one hard. I am lookig for alternatives myself.

You can get pretty paper at Michaels and easily do it yourself, or try cardsandpockets.com. If you send them the file they will give you an estimate for custom printing. I was quoted $1.50 too, but decided to do them myself. And like PP said, we printed 80 for 130 guests. GL!

Thanks, yeah, duh- I dont need 200. I will have 200 guests at my reception- not everyone goes to the church- and normally it is one per couple, right?
    Thanks ladies!

I personally wouldn't spend that much on programs, because A) they might all not get used/looked at and B) they are either going to be thrown out or left at the ceremony afterwards. I would suggest ordering them from somewhere like Vistaprint, or just buying pretty paper and printing them yourself. It is really not that difficult and will save you money.
Is your ceremony at the same location as the reception? If not, you could have less people at the actual ceremony, I'd do one per couple.

Printing is something you shouldn't nickel and dime unless you know what you are doing.  I did mine myself and saved a little, but the time it took, I probably just should of purchased them.

I got a template somewhere, and it took a while to set it up nice and get it printing perfect.  Then I bought nice linen cardstock which wasn't cheap.  I printed them on a friends laser printer, but it would of cost more if I outsourced it.  Then since two printed on each page, I went to staples and got them die cut, which also cost.  Total cost was cheaper, but my time to run around town and get everything is worth something too.
