I am getting married in a month, so can't give full reviews yet, but here is what I can say:

Venue: Magnolia Manor -- great to work with so far, helpfuil whenever I have a question, gorgeous location

Florist: Designs North -- Lisa is great, took what I thought I wanted and suggested ways to make it better, came in way under what I had budgeted

DJ -- using All the Right Grooves out of CLT based on other Knottie reviews

Photographer: -- McCardell Photography.  Love their work.  Our epics came out great.  Definetely on the pricier side, but they are very easy to be around and made us feel comfortable

Caterer -- Visions Catering -- very inexpensive, food tasted good but wasn't especially fancy if that is what you are going for (although they said they can go fancy if that is what you want).  They can provide all linens; bar can be open bar with cost per person or consumption based, or open bar, or you can provide your own alcohol and rent the glassware and a bartender from them (or provide your own); they will prepare gluten free meals for the guests that need them at no extra charge.  have also been easy to work with so far.

Think thats all I can "recommend" so far, but again, haven't made it to the wedding day yet, so can't give full reviews!

Like Beth, we're not quite to the day yet.  But here's what we can say so far:

Reception Venue: Twelve West Main (it's in Thomasville).  Flexible space, you get it for the entire day.  They provide chairs and tables and do have some linens.  Guys have been good to work with.  They have a list of preferred caterers but you can bring in any licensed caterer for a fee.

Rehearsal Dinner Venue: Briles House (High Point).  This is the Junior League of HP's facility.  Their offices are upstairs, and they rent the downstairs.  Can use any caterer.

Florist: Heron House (Thomasville).  John is fabulous.

Reception Music: String quartet from Elegant Ensembles (out of Winston Salem) they're traveling to T-ville for no fee.  Mark was great to work with when deciding on ensemble size and timing.

Photographer: Erica Letchworth (www.ericaletchworth.com) isn't technically a triad vendor, but she's reasonably priced even when including travel.  I love working with her, and her photos are great!

Caterer: We're also using Visions.  It was simple to get all of our food, bar, linens and serveware from one location.  We're serving a brunch, and having a consumption bar.  They've been very accommodating while working with me to create a menu that's not their norm.

Our Ceremony Venue is Memorial UMC in Thomasville.  It's expensive for non-members but includes use of the facility all day, officients, a day of coordinator for activities at the church and the organist (i think).

I just went to a wedding at the Kress Terrace and it was beautiful and very different.  Great views of downtown greensboro.

I'm not getting married in the area, but she's traveling for us. She's based out of Winston and does an amazing job at really great prices!

I got married in winston salem, here are my details

Venue - Piendmont Club -- Great location, its on the small side so not a lot of guest can fit (less than 100)

Flowers - Imagine Florist -- Great job easy to work with and very creative

Cake - cakes by Manfred -- LOVED my cake, people are still talking about how gorgeous it was!

    Photographer - Logan Jarrard http://www.loganjarrard.com/

I can't say enough about Logan - he went above and beyond for our wedding and the pictures were FABULOUS!

Venue: Harmon House in Kernersville- super inexpensive and a lot of character. We didn't want someplace cookie cutter like a ballroom so this was absolutely perfect.

DJ -- I think we are going to go with First Call DJs since they've done events at Harmon House before, comes highly recommended by my photographer, and is below what I budgeted for DJ.

Photographer: -- Cindy McFarland Photography. She is AWESOME! Was very accommodating when I wanted to tweak her packages to what I wanted so I would come in at or below budget, super easy to work with, and I've found that I like her personality, which was very important to me because I'm annoyed by people easily :P

Caterer -- I was going to go with Visions but heard 2 horror stories about them from local brides and upon further investigation I saw that they have an "F" rating on the Better Business Bureau website and have a ton of complaints against them. They were the only caterer listed on the BBB site with complaints that I could find. Buyer beware! So we are going with Above & Beyond catering. Christi, the owner, is super responsive, very easy to work with, doesn't nickel and dime everything, and extremely reasonable. Was so happy with her tasting that I didn't bother scheduling any others. She actually had me when she recommended that I buy my own alcohol and let them serve it so I could save money since hers would be more expensive. And her bartender is only $15/hr. Can't beat her. Tell her the 11-11-11 bride Emily sent you if you go to her!

That's all I've booked thus far but I have over a year so I'm not worried yet!

Just wanted to give you another suggestion for photographer...
    Fantasy Photography
    http://www.fantasyphotographyonline.com/weddings.html

They are a husband & wife team, which is perfect for the 'getting ready' shots and catching both the bride and groom's expressions at the same during the day. We've loved all of the pictures that they've done for our family and the family/friends that have had pics done have been pleased also.

(BTW- If you decide to go with them, send me a private message and I'll be glad to share one of my discount cards with you)
