Another Save the date question

Sorry if this is a silly question ladies, but do I make the address labels out for "Jane Doe and guest" for the STD's. Or just for the invitations?

How did you address "dating" couples? Did you make it out to the both of them? What if they aren't together by the time of the wedding? Or am I just over thinking this?

TIA!

You are over-thinking it, send it to the one person you know, dont include who they are dating, the "and guest" comes in for wedding invites...

When we were just dating people would address invitations to "Marija & guest" or "Chris & guest" neither one of us took offense.

I would just address it to one person on the STD.

Sorry to butt in.  Do you put the "and guest" on the mailing envelope for the invitation so it looks something like this...

    Mr. John Smith and Guest
    100 Main Street
    Anytown, NJ  00000

Or do you just put the person whose name you know on the mailing envelope?

I believe it's you address the person you know on the mailing envelope and then the inner envelope has Mr. John Smith and guest.

I recently got a STD in the mail to "Ms. Tuffysmommie and guest" I was actually a bit offended - we do not live together but have been together longer than the couple getting married (by at least 2 years). I showed it to SO and he was like, "Who else does she think you'd bring to her wedding?"

So, long term couples? Put the name of the SO if you know it. If you're not sure of the name or they have not been dating for all that long, just put the name of the person you know and on the wedding invite find out their name (if they are still together at that time)
