Hey all, 

I am new to the board so I wanted to introduce myself before I started posting. 

My fiance proposed Nov. 24th and we are just starting to meet with vedors. Very exciting!! 

I just did dress shopping today at Bijou Birdal in Paramus. It was a blast... I was like a kid in a candy shop.

My man proposed to be after 9 years of dating while we were getting ready to head out for a night on the town. We spent the day setting up christmas decorations and just hangin. I was expecting it to happen eventually... but he TOTALLY caught me off gaurd and I did not even know he had been looking at rings. 

Any brides doing a winter wedding? we have a date set for 1/11/14 in West Orange. I cannot waitttttt (if you are married, does it go by fast? I hope so! lol).

Congrats and welcome! I came to TK almost 3 years ago in May 2010 and my countdown was over 700 days.  It's been 300 days since I got married. Time is going to fly.

We set our date in April 2012 for April 2014 and I felt like the rest of the year flew by.  Congrats and happy planning!!!!

We have some similarities - I was with FI for 7.5 years before we got engaged, so we were already in a very long term relationship!

And, our church is in Montclair, and our reception is in West Orange - but we are getting married in October of 2013.

50 shades- since you had a two year wait, I am especially happy to hear that it is going by fast.

I am totally enjoying being engaged but it's very exciting to envision what the big day will be like. 

SewInLove, where is your reception? We are having it at the plesantdale so if it is the same place, I will be anxiously awaiting to hear how amazing it is lol.

HobokenBride - did you get married in Hoboken or are you in town?

Congratulations!!! My fiance proposed on our 10 yr anniversary and our wedding is January 11, 2014 as well! We actually were torn between Pleasantdale and Park Savoy, but ended up with PS because my friend is already doing Pleasantdale.  Happy planning!!
