Anyone know of any Catholic priests or officiants that will conduct ceremonies on site? Everyone listed on the knot is a general officiant that conducts all types of ceremonies. Thanks!

No Catholic priest can officiate a ceremony outside of the church. It's against Vatican rules. I do believe there is a former Catholic priest that many people on the boards use though. Sorry but I can't recall his name.

We are using Father John Michael O'Sullivan. He is a retired Catholic priest and will make your ceremonyas religious (or non-religious) as you'd like. Just be aware that by doing the ceremony outside of a Catholic church, your marriage will not be recognized by the Catholic church. What that means is your marriage is still legal, but the curch does not recognize you or your husband receiving the sacrament of marriage. This could potentially impact you or your children receiving future sacraments should you decide to raise them Catholic. Father John was great at giving us advice on how to make sure our marriage will be recognized by the church.

We are getting married in the chruch, but are using Father George Lucey who does perform ceremonies outside the chruch as well (but check with him about the Catholic recognition rules as PP said). He is great.

Fr Russ Ditzel is performing our ceremony, who we were put in touch with via the Interfaith Clergy Network. Since it's not a church wedding we'll probably have it validated at my church at another point in time.
