Old Tappan (previously Colonial) Manor Opinions?

My fiance and I are about to book the Old Tappan Manor in Old Tappan, NJ for our wedding reception.  It sounds and looks great for us, but just for peace of mind, I'm looking for some reviews.  Has anybody out there had her wedding there, booked her wedding there, or attended a wedding there?  It was completely renovated and renamed 7 months ago, so I'm having trouble finding reviews of it.  I'd also be interested if anyone had any information on working with the staff there before the renovations (when it was still called Colonial Manor) since I think they are the same ones who still work there.  Thanks!

My brother had his reception at The View, which is the sister location of the Old Tappan Manor (same owner).   My brother had no problem with the staff.  The cocktail hour was really good.  When searching for venues I did look at the Old Tappan Manor.  I thought it was a good price for what you get.  However, I didn't end up booking there.

I went to a wedding there several years ago (before rennovations) and it was nice.  It wasn't one of those fancy, over the top venues, but it was very nice.

I am looking for more info also after visiting them. The ballroom is breath taking but we want more comments and reviews before we book.

<div><strong>My fiance and I booked Old Tappan Manor back in February, they are actually renovating the cocktail room and it is almsot completed. They have extended the room and raised the ceilings. The food at The View is delicious and that is their sister company. Martin Shanley helped my family out and he was amazing. Very accomidating and helpful and wants you to feel like you can tell him anything. He is GREAT! I highly recommend this venue.
