BP gifts

This is sort of a S/O of jrgoogrl's shower question below... when would be an appropriate time to give the "thank you for being part of the wedding party" gift?  Some members of our bridal party will not be able to come to the rehearsal and I am not sure what is going on with the bachelorette party.  Should I give them their gifts at the shower? 

** I don't know if this makes a difference but my mom is the one throwing me the shower, not my bridesmaids.

    I would try and organize a girls night or something to be able to give them all their gifts at once.  I wouldn't do it at the shower, but if that is the only time you will all be together than, I would try to see if everyone could come back to your house afterwards, so you could give them their gifts in private.

    I gave half of the gift at the rehearsal and the other half the morning of the wedding (their gifts had multiple parts to it- I wanted them to have something special on the day of)... can you give them all the morning of, or will that just be too chaotic for you?

    I never thought about giving out the gifts the day of the wedding.  I actually like that idea.  I think that's what I'm going to do.

    I had a destination bachelorette party in Miami, and gave them there.  Except that it was kind of annoying for me to carry 5 sets of gifts there, it worked out well for me (particularly because I had bought some beach and travel-related gifts).

    I've usually gotten them at the rehearsal dinner, but once got them after the shower.
