Mandalay Bay question

Hey guys! We are looking at THEpremier or THEpetite all inclusive at Mandalay Bay and I was wondering if anyone knows, when they say it includes two nights in a "large suite," do they mean the Vista Suite or the Media suite or do they mean something all together different? TIA for any info. http://www.mandalaybay.com/things-to-do/weddings/thepetite-all-inclusive.aspx

Re: Mandalay Bay question

  • YAY!  We are also booking our wedding at MB with the Ultimate Mix and I understand how vague their wording on the site is! It was confusing also to figure out what all the different options and combinations for packages are too.  It took us a while to settle on what we wanted to do!

The best way to find out is to call or email one of their wedding coordinators and ask them your questions.  You can call these ladies without having booked or reserved anything, so that might be best!  I'm guessing that the suite is the Vista suite, but definitely give them a call if you're interested!

    Good luck!

Yay! Thanks! I plan on calling them next week. I just filled out the email request form. I really like the Ultimate MIX option but it says all guests must be over 21 and I am hoping my 15 yr old nephew will be able to come. What's y'all's date?

  • I am almost willing to bet the suite in those packages is the 600SS (or something like that) that is included in most of the packages. We are in the Platinum Skies package and that is the room that is included. They will upgrade it if you want, but it costs a bit more.

  • Is 600SS big enough for an in suite reception? It didn't look like it, which is why I was wondering. Am I understanding the package correctly? that the food they provide is for an in suite?

  • Definitely not big enough for an in-suite reception-- they just provide it for you and your spouse to kind of honeymoon in.  I believe the food in the Ultimate MIX package is provided for use in one of the smaller ballrooms, but best to check with your coordinator.

THEpremier and THEpetite have the reception in a Vista or Media Suite, I'm almost 100% sure - that's what we originally booked.  Those packages include the reception food.  :)

I don't know if you get that room for two nights though.

OK, I think I was misunderstanding. The room for the reception is prob the vista or the media (maybe the hospitality, who knows) but the room for you to sleep in is probably the 600ss which is not big enough for a reception.

Our package had the 600ss and we upgraded to one of the larger suites at THE Hotel for $40 extra.

ETA: I would call the chapel personally. I ended up with Jaime from my initial call and she has been a dream to work with a very responsive. It never hurts to ask.

  • We are getting married in Sept! Our Ultimate Mix package came with the V Suite at TheHotel for two nights. Our reception is being held atThe Mix restaurant at the top of TheHotel with two hour open bar and finger foods for 50. We are also using Jaimie and she's been good so far!
  • I do not reccomend the Vista Suite. The view looks great, but its really all your getting. The room is very bland and kind of far away from everything.

  • If you're not using it for a party, switching from Vista to Sky View might be an option since it's normally about a $100/night less.  The Sky Views are on the top two floors, seperate bedroom and living room, really awesome view if you're on the strip side, really lame view of the parking garage and THEHotel if you're on that side, or nice view of the pool if you're on the third side.
