Videographers

Right now, I'm leaning towards Cinematrimony. They did Meredith's wedding and I LOVE how her wedding trailer and video turned out!  I also think for their style of work, they have better prices than others.

I contacted Merigo films (formerly Dreamlight Films and KA Studios) and their basic package is about $600 more than Cinematrimony.

Anyone else have any reviews on either of these two or recommendations for someone cheaper? I used to not think that videography was going to be that important to me, but it's turning out to be.

Kelsey!! We just decided on videography last week and im sooo glad we did, even if it is last minute. I looked at Merigo films, but I thought there prices were a little high. We are using twentyonefilms. The owner, Phil, is sooooo nice and pleasant. His prices are great and it comes with a few more additions than KA for a cheaper price. I also recommend ink spot crew videography. We were going to use them but they were booked for our date. They recommended Phil from twentyone films and im sooo glad they did. They are both wonderful companies with great prices. Hope this helps!

Just to clarify, Cinamatrimony, Dreamlight Films AND KA Studios merged to become one company called Merigo. Yes, they are a little pricier than others but I've learned that you get what you pay for. Don't cheap out on something that's important to you.

I agree 100%!!! I would never use a company that I didn't know for sure that they did quality work. Another NC knottie uses inkspot and their video was just on style me pretty. The prices for inkspot and twenty-one are a little lower than Merigo but not mch. I just think every penny counts and if I can find someone who does quality work for a few dollars less than a competitors, then sign me up! Merigo does great work ( love meredith's video) so if you go with them, you'll have definitely made a great choice.

The Merigo website said that only KA Studios and Dreamlight Films had combined...nothing about Cinematrimony.

I got an email from them a few weeks ago when I was inquiring and they did also merge with Cinematrimony: As a reminder,  KA Studios has now merged with two of its top competitors in Charlotte; Dreamlight Films and Cinematrimony.   The merger of the 3 leading wedding cinematography companies together bring a total of 16 years of experience to wedding films and are now operating as one company called Merigo Films

This is true. We originally signed with Cinamatrimoy last November. All three merged 18 days before my wedding.

Kelsey, I had heard that they were all three combined, like someone said above.

Plus, it's actually probably a good thing. I really wanted to have KA Studios do ours, but they were booked for our day. They recommended Cinematrimony to us, that's how we found Darin.  So, if it's true that with Merigo, you get these companies and people working for you combined, I would definitely recommend them.
