Outdoor Venue on the Strip?

Hello Knot Ladies!  Wow... I haven't been over on this side since I got married 5 years ago.  How time flies!  Anyway, I am helping my sister plan her wedding and am having some difficulty finding a venue that fits her needs and wants. I was hoping someone might have an idea...

She is looking for an outdoor venue (preferably on, or close to, the strip) that will accommodate about 150 guests.  She was planning on using Manadalay Bay's beach, but they just informed her that they have booked up all the available dates with concerts so they can not do any weddings.  Any other ideas?

There's been several brides recently that have reported really liking the Flamingo's outdoor wedding venue.  Caesars also has two I think.  Either resort is central-strip too so it gives your guests lots of walking-distance things to do and lots of hotel options.

VG -None of those venues hold 150 people. Juno seats 128, Venus 115. Flamingo gazebo seat 100 I don't think any of the casinos have an outdoor ceremony cite that holds that many.

actually ballagio has a space that holds up to 300 people.  it is there patio area and is behind the wedding chapel above  the pools from what i understand. They can do the ceremony and reception.You have to contact the catering department to get all the info! i have seen pictures and it is beautiful!

Oops, yeah didn't realize none were that large.  We looked at the Bellagio patio with the attached ball room space before finding Mix, almost went that route, it's very nice and I had complete confidence that Bellagio would have done an incredible job with everything just from the experience with them while they were under consideration.  They were consistently more responsive and had the most thorough answers of any vendor we considered.

I will definitely call and speak to someone at Bellagio.  I checked their website, but everything listed was too small.  Thank you so much for the inside scoop!  

The other suggestions are helpful too as I am also keeping a list of venues that top out at 100, just in case she decides to cut the guest list.

VG- out of pure curiosity do u remember how much ballagio wanted for that space?

There was a $15k food and beverage minimum to get the patio and attached ballroom, and then the actual rental fees were $500 for the ballroom and $350 for the patio.  There was a required $2500 coordination fee to put everything together.

We were planning to have the ceremony in the same place though, not use the Bellagio chapel, so there were some added costs associated with turning a divided off portion of an adjacent ballroom into the ceremony venue.  We had them quote building out the room and decorating it the way we wanted for ceremony and reception, 20 foot by 20 foot white tile dance floor, floral, ceremony decor, fabric draping the walls, etc.  That came to about $9k.

Food was quoted out at $128/pp for a four course meal with three entre options (steak, chicken, fish).  It was $55 per person for four hours premium open bar and $175/each per bartender, we could to pick how many we wanted.

The ballroom included use of a ceiling mounted projector and audio system if we wanted to make use of it, so that was kind of a bonus since it was a big 20 to 30 foot screen used for convention meetings.  The event fees also included airport limo transfers and vip check-in.

It's been a year so I don't know if she's still there, but the person we worked with was Rebecca Lippe and she was the most responsive and thorough person of any venue we visited.  She works in catering services whom all of this stuff would be coordinated through.  I'm glad this thread came up because even though it's been more than a year, I had been meaning to write Bellagio a letter telling them how great she was; only reason we didn't use Bellagio is they had no way to compete with Mix's view and I had to have that once I saw it. :-)

the 702 has a place called Tahiti Village located on Las Vegas Blvd just south of the strip.  It is very nice. I have stayed at Tahiti Village 2 times. THe 2nd time I was there I saw a few wedding and they were very nice.  It is a time-share.

I am getting marraid at rainbow gardens in the garden room which looks like it is outside, however, it is inside.  Just a suggestion.
