Best Bridesmaids gift you've ever received?

I purchased necklaces for my ladies, but they have been so wonderful they deserve something more!
What was the best BM gift you have ever received?

If the necklaces are for the BM's to wear to your wedding, I dont really see that as a 'gift'. But, that's just my opinion.

While I was a BM in a friends wedding, her gift was cute and sweet, but all of the BM's got the same thing (necklace, mug and a candle) however we were treated to a lunch at a mexican resturant which was good.

Out of the three gifts given, I'll pick the small candle. It smells lovely and I love candles, so it was a win with me :)

I'll say though, some of the gifts that the ladies on this board have shown (like the personalized items) are awesome and very cute. I *think* most were found on Etsy (I'm addicted to that site).  I would try and think a little outside of the box and think on the more personal level for each BM you have :)

    Good luck!

When I was a bridesmaid in my moms wedding (the only wedding I've ever been in) she gave me a necklace I had picked out, my sister got a new lens for her camera, my step sister got a tiffany's bracelet, and my step brother got a watch.

I wouldn't exactly call it "the best," but when I was in aunt's wedding I got a necklace that turned green after a month and when I was a reader in a friend's wedding I got an umbrella. :/

Uneek's response got me thinking. .

I remember when I was talking with my MIL about what to get my girls, she told me what she got when she was a BM in DH aunt's wedding.

She got. . .a lamp. A pink one. Random . . yes. We now have that lamp. DH sprayed it black. I still hate it :)

DH's other aunt who was also in that same wedding got a Fan.

It's about originality right? Tongue out

The cutest BM gift I ever received was a tote with my name engraved on it with her wedding color (yellow). It was something that was reasonable and personal all at the same time. I use it for EVERYTHING! I would suggest something practical, yet thoughtful.

the necklaces are not for the wedding, i agree that is NOT a present. as someone who has been on the receiving end of that... yuck. i was given gold and garnet earrings and a necklace. it was promptly donated with my BM dress!

i got each lady a silver necklace with their 1st inital in a beautiful script. i am also taking them all out to lunch while we are OOT for our bachlorette weekend.  candles in their favorite scent or maybe a clutch that fits their personality? i like the idea of the personalized bag!

    thanks!

i totally struggled with this too. so i approached it from their perspective "if I was in a wedding today, what kinds of things would i love to receive and use all of the time?" and then i got it - a monogrammed robe. what girl wouldn't love to receive a super plush, luxurious robe with their monogram? but then i realized robes were super expensive so i gave up!!!! so i met my mom at Costco one day randomly and they had the most amazing plush robes for $20!!!! it was a gift from GOD! I took them to the local mongramming store and for $8 I put their first initial (AND i got one for myself since i love robes so much!!)

Dont be afraid to shop around and go to costco!!!
