Question for Those Who Used Olga..

So I know everyone on here has just raved about her.  I had planned where I was going to do my alterations in Austin, had my timeline set with them and everything but well, that's all busted.  SO!

At what point should I be contacting Olga if I wanted to use her for alterations on my dress?  Our photog and I are aiming to do bridal portraits sometime in late March, so the alterations people here wanted to start in mid-February with me.  I know Olga is pretty popular and I am just trying to gauge my timeline for getting in touch with her/hopefully booking my appt to start with her.  How long did you all spend in alterations as well before your wedding (or bridal portraits if you did them)?

I didn't use Olga, but I tried. You should call her ASAP!!!!!

You should call her tomorrow.

I called her the 2nd week of Feb '10 for my October '10 wedding (the week I got the dress).  I didn't need the dress until the wedding (didn't to bridal photos before), I was the last bride she booked for that time period. 

I met with her once in May to determine what we would need to do.  Then two or three times in the 3 weeks before the wedding.  She runs a tight ship.

I would call her ASAP!  I reserved time with her months ago and she had be call back last month for my June (bridals in April) wedding and she has been coming in in early to mid February.  I've seen several girls who contacted her after I did and have later alteration dates.

She books FAST and WAY in advance!!!

I talked to her and had no problems getting an appointment.  My first one is Feb. 15 and then we have 2 others in early March.  I was really worried since everyone says to book her early, but I didn't get the impression that she was "working me in" or anything super tight. 
 Doing bridals in early April so it should work fine.  Good luck!

I would call her soon.  She should be available at this point, but she gets really busy before the spring/summer weddings.  Plus, it's better to schedule the fitting now, even though it's early, than for her to be booked and you be out of luck!  

She took in my dress in a few places, changed out the elastic band in the inside, sewed in cups and bustled my dress... and it only took one week.  She does great work!

You should call soon.  I called in Sept for my Jan appt.  She said she was taking a month vacation in feb/march.  I am not sure if she still is since it seems girls have appt in Feb but I would check. 

My wedding is in Apr so the dress will be done a little early but I don't plan on loosing weight or anything so it's fine if the dress is done early.

I called her last week and she said she was booked through June. My wedding is May. She did put me on a waiting list though. She said once she sees the dresses she might be able to take on more people. I won't know until the beginning of April though so I am going to need a back up plan. It's crazy how popular she is! I guess it's for a good reason though!

WELL, I'll try her and see what she says at least.  If not, I guess I will see!

Edited to add:  She's booked through mid-June.  She did reccomend someone else when I talked to her though named Larisa who is also in Cary.  I have her phone number if anyone else is in the same boat as me!
