Nevada-Las Vegas

strip tour

I'm trying to sort out our strip tour and have a question. We'll be picked up from Little Church of the West, on  to the sign, Fremont Street, NYNY, Venetian, Palace and Bellagio before being dropped off at Mandalay Bay. How long do you think we will need for this? I don't really want to go over 2 hours but think this may not be long enough to get down to Fremont Street. Also, I'm starting to worry about people being bored on the tour. The closer the wedding gets, the more I'm panicking about things!

OK, 2 things... I mean the Paris, not Palace! And after looking at photos I don't think we'll do Fremont Street anyway. I was convinced that you could see all the lights in the day (thought it was covered over or something) but having had a search for photos, looks as though you can't So will 2 hours be enough for the rest of the stops? And I'm still having concerns about people being bored. There will be about 28 of us on a party bus... Your opinions will be appreciated!

Do you get out at all these places? Yea, from the sign to Fremont street is a ways. Do you really need to do the Fremont experience? Its so out of the way, esp if you plan on limiting your time. Traveling down the strip at night could be slow.  Ask the WC you have, they may know since they deal with wedding parties and activities.

If you plan on getting out at all those places to go in. I'm sure you all will be taking pics. And with 28 peeps. I don't think that will be enough time. THats 6 stops. Think about how much time you are aloting for each place. And driving time. 5 stops before your final destination. Now I'm guessing that you will be getting out to go in the hotels? If thats the case, that leaves you with perhaps 15 min or less at each stop, and 9 min for driving and getting peeps loaded and unloaded.   Maybe even less time than what I figured.  If all you are doing is driving from A to B to C. then the time sounds ok. Hope that helped

I'm doing a Strip Tour too with probably about the same amount of people. I def. do NOT think anyone will be bored on the tour. Your taking them on a tour of the strip...I think it's going to be a lot of fun personally. I'm making stops at the Sign, Bellagio, Mirage, T.I. & Freemont and we've got 3.5 hours. My photog. said that this should be plenty of time since Freemont is so far away. But if you're cutting out Freemont....you've still got about 5 stops in two hours. If you over estimate and say a half hour for driving that leaves 1.5 hours or about 20 minutes at each place. If that's okay with you then you should be fine. Just make sure you let your guests know they only have 20 minutes at each place and then the bus/limo is moving on.

Thanks for that, has helped put it in perspective! We were thinking sign, Venetian (inside and outside) Outside The Paris, Bellagio Fountains, NYNY Bridge. It will be 2:00-4:00pm so hopefully the traffic shouldn't be too bad

You should be good if you keep within the time limit and let your guests know too. Def. don't think you're guests are going to be bored! Especially on a party bus....I think anyone would have a great time on a party limo just driving around the block LOL. Everytime I tell someone we're doing a Strip Tour in party buses the reaction I always get is "In party buses..AWESOME!!!" lol... Don't worry about your guests they're going to have a great time!

Matilda- we don't want to spend too much time at each place as it is really just for photos, so 20 minutes should be enough for what we want. The longest stop would be the Venetian but all of the others are outside, which should help! I suppose if we fill the bus up with enough champagne our guests will be happy!P.S. I love your dress!

Awwww thank you so much!! That was one of the first questions my dad asked "So what kind of alcohol will there be on the bus?"hahaha It's going to be a lot of fun. And if there are places your guests really want to go they can always go there after your reception....I've learned on this board that you can walk out of a hotel and get a limo....just like hailing a taxi! I'm going to love Vegas!!

Yeah, you're right! The bus is something I've been really excited about up until now and everyone I've told has thought it's a great idea too. I think I'm just having slight panics as it's slowly seeming more real!

And yeah, you will love Vegas! Me, Fi and our Best Man are the only people that have been before and all of our guests can't wait!

I hear ya! I teach so I have off all summer and I've been trying to get as much done as I can so I don't get too panicy as December 19th rolls around....but I think it's almost inevitable. It's your wedding day and you want everything to be perfect. You're getting married at the end of October right? I wonder if Vegas will have any cool Halloween things going on. I don't know if you're into Halloween but that might be something to go check out after your reception. The cake you ordered makes me drool haha. It looks to good to eat!

Yep, 27th October. Hadn't thought about Halloween but that would be cool! I've tried so hard not to stress about everything but I feel like we've stopped making decisions about things and I just want it sorted now!
