in suite receptions?

how do these work? I get the general idea, but do you get your food from the hotel? can you bring in your own catering? did you do a reception like this and if you did how did you do it? we were looking at planet hollywood, but we're still not sure.

We are having an insuite reception at Mandalay Bay, details of all vendors are in my bio. Easton23 and Rappj have done this recently and they have reviews in their bios too.6 to 8 2008 had an afterparty insuite at Planet Hollywood... trying to remember who else has done it! If you have a look at the Vegas knottie list, it tells you where people had their receptions and you can access their bios.I hope these bios help, but if you have a y questions just shout

Hasn't happened yet but we are planning an in suite at MGM in a Terrace Suite. We hired a DJ to set up on the terrace and are having Masterpiece Cuisine do the food, much better price than in house catering and my contact Scott assured me he has never had an issue with bringing food into MGM or any of the strip hotels.

I not only had my reception but ceremony in the Vista Suite at the MB.  I loved every minute of it.  We had Masterpiece cuisine cater.  They had no problem bring up the food.  They set up and left no problem.  We brought in all of our own drinks, bell hop helped bring up the 11 cases of beer, 5 bottles of vodka, 5 cases of soda and 4 cases of water with out word about it.  We also picked up our cake and again bell hops brought it right up for us.  They brought up my flowers also, they were delivered to the front desk.  I am not sure how big the PH suite is, but we had 50 guest in our suite and it was very comfortable. If you have any other questions email me at woodies23 at yahoo dot com.

I'm doing the same as Inked1.....we're going to go out and buy alcohol. I know melissaandjosh418 had posted a thread saying bringing the outside food into the MGM was no problem for her.
