Decor at Maggianos

Did anyone upgrade the decor for their reception? (i.e linens, centerpieces, etc) If so what did you have to start with for free and what did you change and who was your vendor. How about the cake? Did you take the one included in your packages or upgrade to something else?

I was going to upgrade the linens to add some color, but it's a lot cheaper for us to buy them ourselves and ship them (tableclothesfactory.com). We are providing our own centerpieces as well, but we are using their standard votives around them. We upgraded our cake from Freed's, but they are giving us a $4pp credit toward it. HTH!

We used the standard linens. We had centerpieces from The Palette, and also had the standard votives on the table.  Our table numbers were by Alaun by Design, who did our STDs and invites as well.We had the Special Occasion package instead of one of the wedding packages.  We got our cake from Freed's but because I wanted something that was much more than the allowance in the wedding package it was cheaper to just order it on our own.   I hope that makes sense. There are some pics in my married bio, and I swear one of these days I'm going to update it and include the pro pics.

Does anyone know what cake you get with the package? I looked before when it was Freeds and it was the "bride on a budget" one, but now the preferred vendor is Creations and I couldn't see any sort of budget cake on their website.

We have booked Darren Lee, www.darren-lee.com, Elvis impersonator to perform at our insuite reception. As I said in a previous post, we heard of him because he performed at my HR director's wedding and she gushes about him. She loved him and I've reviewed his clips and youtube videos. We are also reviewing a cd that Deb (the HR director) gave us. He sounds so much like Elvis that everyone around us thought we were listening to Elvis.FI thought he was really nice...and one of great things, payment isn't due until he performs! He cost slightly less than the other two impersonators that are on here and for more time.

We didn't upgrade our linens because their standard was exactly what we wanted (off white, floor length). They decorated all tables with votives for freeWe had a couple of flower arrangements done by The Palette...but that was it.My bouquet was decor on the sweetheart table....BM bouquets were on the cake table.Pics in Wedding Bio.

I have heard from a few people that since the food is served in the middle of the table family style, there isn't a need for much of a centerpiece. For those of you that have used Maggiano's, about how much room do you feel that you had? Would it look empty without a centerpiece on each table? cluttered with one? We were thinking of not having any sort of centerpiece but haven't decided yet.

Maggiano's told me that as long as it is no bigger than 6" in diameter then there is enough room on the table. I think the tables would look quite bare without anything, but if you really don't want any centrepieces Maggiano's have candle votives that you can use free of charge, maybe thats an idea. Have you looked on here at the pictures of the table set ups? Might give you an idea s437.photobucket.com/albums/qq96/LasVegasMaggianos/?start=all
