From the list you gave, i did tip the photographer. My reception had a mandatory service fee (tip)- for a caterer i would tip some amount though the percentage would depend on how much service they provided. If they are just dropping food off in the room/lobby, I would tip probably about 10%, if they are setting up in the room, serving the food, etc I would tip at least 20%. Baker I did not tip. Others I did tip- bus drivers, hair/makeup, and I had a tip for the wedding coordinator but was unable to find her to give it to her at the wedding!

When I got married (back in the dark ages, lol) we tipped the minister and ceremony soloist, wedding coordinator (at our reception venue), limo driver, hair stylist/make-up artist, the band, limo drivers and we gave a little extra cash to the head waiter to split up among the wait staff (there was a tip already included in our per person price but we gave extra).  This was an at-home wedding so things may be different for you but that's a general list.

Would you tip even if they already have added a certain precentage of gratuity?

FI and I had the same discussion the other day. We both agreed that the reception should not be tipped, they are already adding gratuity on the final price of the reception. We are planning on tipping our wedding coordinator, hair and make-up, our photographer. Now i'm going to add the limo driver.

I've heard you don't have to tip anyone who owns their own business (eg. Todd, Lori White, Veronica, T0ner Photography, etc.) as its already worked into their price...But my mom is a hairdresser who works for herself and she sure appreciates tips because she charges way less than the salons do anyways!

Good post, because FI and were just discussing this! For the photographer, would you tip the day of or after you get the pictures? And how much would you tip your WC?

Some tips were worked into the final price, like our reception and limo. Since I never saw someone from our bakery, and paid out the butt for the cake, no tip there. We tipped Todd cause he was amazing. We tipped Lori and her assitant for hair and make up. And we tipped the minister and our wedding coordinator. Did not tip the DJ. Attempted to, but since we had technical issues, and we made sure we had food for him, he wouldn't accept it.

Those of you that tipped, what percentage did you tip various vendors? If you tipped business owners, ie photographers and hair/make up, was it the same percentage you tipped co-ordinators etc. Tipping is quite different here in the UK, so not sure what the correct etiquette is!
