luxor reviews anyone? leaving luggage with bell boys when arriving early?

Hello everyone! I'm getting so close! So I was told today that if I arrived to early to check in at the Luxor, I could leave my luggage with a bell hop for storing. Is this true? Also, is the airport experience upon arrival really as quick as I've heard? I was told that it would be very fast to pick up my luggage and get a cab/shuttle to the hotel. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, Luxor will definitely hold luggage! Also, in my experience if you tip the front desk person $20 they will always let you check in early (I've checked in at 7 AM before).. I would try this first before leaving your luggage. The bags don't take very long at our airport. I would definitely cab it to the Luxor.. it's quick. I'd also say "no tunnel". Cabbies that take the tunnel add $10++ to your cab fare. Make sure they don't do this.

I agree with the PP they will hold your bags. The airport is very quick and tell the cabby no tunnel all is true and typically if they have a room they will get you into it as early as possible with or without a tip in my experience but tipping does help with a lot of things here in vegas!

Don't swear me to this, but I'm pretty sure that for that end of the Strip -- Mandalay Bay, the Luxor and Exalibur -- the tunnel may actually be the quickest way.I'd recommend posting any non-wedding Vegas-related questions at a forum like this one. No need to fret- the bell desk definitely will hold your bags for you, and our experiences with the Luxor bell desk were great (be sure to tip as he drops them off in your room). The airport is very easy and fast, and a cab (No tunnel!) shouldnt be more than 15 bucks to luxor and super speedy since the airport is very near to the south strip/ mandalay-luxor area.

Yes, the tunnel is definitely faster, but definitely way more expensive. I was staying at the Excalibur a few years ago and the cabbie asked if he could take the tunnel because he was in a huge rush. We got there quickly, but the cab fare was $10 more. He took the $10 off, no problem. Just depends if saving 5 minutes is worth $10 to you! I live here now, so obviously I take the tunnel to save time when picking up people at the airport.. but as a tourist I'd always want to save the $10.
