Ushers/Ceremony Programs

I'm getting married at Caesars Palace. Classico Chapel. I'm wondering if any of you had ushers for your ceremony? Do you know if they even allow it there or will charge to have them there? They are trying to charge me already for 6 in the bridal party. My best friend is a guy and I'm trying to figure out something for him to do??Also how many of you made little programs? The ceremony is so short so I'm not sure if I want them or not?

I am making programs, but they are more like a "today's plan" sort of thing, not just for the ceremony. On the left side, there is ceremony information, and on the right side there's an itenerary for the day, and a small map to the reception venue.

Our ceremony is pretty short as well, but I'm 99% sure we're going to do programs because:-I'm probably going to end up with far too many of my paper flowers and am looking for other places to use them.-There's a long-ish song lyric I really want to use somewhere, and the program is the only logical place-We're not doing favors, so the guests can hang onto the program if they want a keepsake-It's a nice way to acknowledge the WP and write a little thank you blurb-The ceremony's short, but there are a couple of elements that might warrant some explanation. If we run short on time, or if they start becoming a pain, though, we'll cut the programs.  They're nice to have, but not vital.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

Our GM's acted as ushers and that worked out fine.  Also - our WC did a lot of the ushering.  :-)
