where to buy artificial flowers - triad or triangle

I'm in need of some outdoor artificial flowers.

Everything Michael's carries is for indoor use, and fade really quickly outside or fall apart in the wind.

Have y'all found ourdoor-silks for sale anywhere in the Triad or Triangle areas?

Hey! I currently am working part time at a silk flower store (on the coast) but the general deal is that all silk flowers will have the "Not intended for outdoor purposes" rule but it just depends on how much weathering they go through, etc. The other girl who works with me bought some last summer and has had them hanging on her fence outside and says they still look as brand new as the day she got them. I tend to think that the cheaper ones will fade faster because of the quality of dyes and fabrics used. Look for sturdier fabrics that looks as if they could hold up to the wind. They should last you at least 6 months out in the weather, sometimes much longer.

Sorry I don't know of any stores out in the triad, but I hope this helps!

TK is being weird again, it's putting your post before mine.  Strange.

I'd like to be able to change them seasonally, so I only need them to last 3-4 months, but the last few sets I've gotten haven't even made it that long before they look faded and scraggly.  They have no protection from sun or wind where they're located.  I try to make the bouquets really tight so the wind can't really get in there and tear them apart, but the sun still gets to them.

    Hey ladies,
I was actually wondering the same thing.  I only need mine to hold up long enough for the actual wedding/reception.  Will "indoor only" silks hold up for this? Thanks!

Oh yeah, you should be fine for that.

I'm leaving these things outside full time for months, that's the only reason I've had trouble.
