I'm a Mrs.! We are back from our wedding/honeymoon. It was amazing! We had the time of our lives. Professional pics won't be back for a few weeks, but you can check out my myspace wedding album at

Although it lacks the shine and polish of the newer hotels on the strip, it has the wow factor. We arrived at 8:30 am and had no trouble checking in early to our spa suite (without a tip). The entrance is beautiful, but I was surprised at the lack of a bell hop. We dragged our luggage to the check in desk, and were happy to see no line. One concern was that our “all inclusive package” required that we allow them to put a hold of 300 bucks on our bank account along with the expected cost of our room for our entire stay. So we arrived expecting to owe the $750 balance, and instead ended up with them holding over $1000. They assure me that it will be released 5 days after checkout. We shall see… lol. We trekked to the “inclinator” with all of our luggage, and by the time we reached the 19th floor, we were exhausted. Not too exhausted to admire the view though. It was great! As you walk around the hallway to your room, you overlook the atrium level of the hotel. From up there, it looks like an ancient city. Amazing. The room was dingy. (Peeling wall paper, squeaky doors, hard beds), but we didn’t mind so much. The view of the strip was great, and the spa tub made up for the aged room. The More Buffet was unimaginative, but filling. Will we stay there again? Probably not. But I am really glad we did this time. It was an experience I wouldn’t want to miss. Ilene’s Dress and Tux: A++….. This place was amazing! The free limo picked us up as scheduled on our first day in town. The driver was a pleasure to be around and was very knowledgeable about Vegas. He conducted a small tour as we made our way to the shop. Free water was available in the limo. The dress steamer was great… she did a wonderful job on my dress. The tux fitting for my DH went off without a hitch. The lady was helpful in picking out the perfect tux and tie. Our driver took us to the court house to pick up our license and even walked us in to show us the correct office. He was wonderful! He even drove DH to the bank to grab a little extra cash with no charge. I definitely recommend this shop. Glamsquad: A+++….. James is a genius! He arrived and immediately put me at ease. He knew exactly what he was doing and was fun to hang out with. My hair was better than I could have imagined and stayed put all evening. As a bonus, after the wedding when I took it down… it still looked amazing! I had the airbrushed make-up and eyelashes done. It turned out great! Pics in bio… Its was still flawless all the next day, and he left me with a lip gloss for touch ups. I can’t say enough about James… if I lived in Vegas, I’d want him for a best friend. He was that awesome to hang out with. He made me feel like a movie star! Eiffel Tower Restaurant: A+…..This place was great. We made our reservations through the manager Lyle after being contacted by him on our Vegas forum on the knot. He was true to his word and got us an awesome table overlooking the Bellagio fountains at sunset. We were given excellent service along with complimentary appetizers (from Lyle). The view alone made the price of the dinner worth it. The atmosphere was very romantic, and the au gratin potatoes actually made me moan… they were that good. Portions were large and filling. I will definitely be returning. Scenic Las Vegas Weddings: A+++++++++….. This is the best decision we made and the best money we spent. I can’t imagine doing my wedding any other way! We booked the Vegas Strip package #2 for $299 (they have since raised the price to $399… I’d pay that and more.) The package was to include a wedding ceremony at the Mirage volcano (a few choices are available), limo service, the minister, the photographer, 50 shots, one extra location anywhere on strip, flowers, a slideshow cd, pics in RAW format, and a dvd of ceremony. Our limo driver picked us up and had my bouquet and the boutonniere in the limo. He was very nice and extremely helpful. We were whisked away to the Venetian for photos (complimentary!), our photographer (Trey, owner/photographer) met us there. He took several pics in front of the canals and fountains, before taking us across to the Mirage. There, he cleared a large area in front of the volcano and took a series of photos while it erupted behind us. Next, we walked around the perimeter and met our officiant. Again, Trey cleared the area, and announced to the crowd that we would be having a wedding. Needless to say, we were a main attraction. Our ceremony was beautiful. It was recorded on dvd and was followed with more pics. Afterward, we returned to the limo and drove to the Bellagio for more pictures. We were the center of attention, as Trey took a series of shots with the fountains going off behind us. Next, we walked across the street to the Eiffel Tower for more photos! Finally, we were returned to the limo and taken to the Venetian for dinner. I can’t tell you what it is like to parade around on the strip in a wedding ball gown with thousands of people congratulating you and telling you how beautiful you are. The best way to summarize it is with a quote from Trey, “You are the celebrities tonight!”
