Hiring an assistant or helper

I am getting married in 2012 and have plenty of time to plan my own wedding but I am in need of someone to help with the items that will not be handled by the catering or florist. I need done one to help with decorating, setting up and clean up. Where should I look for this type of help and what are acceptable fees for this help?

Well, you could either hire a full-blown wedding planner, or a day-of-coordinator. I also believe you can hire some to only be there in the last few weeks to help out as well.

Cost will all depend on where, when, and what all is needing to be done to my knowledge.

You can find them by word of mouth, google, wedding magazines for your locations, the knot, and craigslist (some great deals can be had via that site, but just be careful to make sure you have a contract and everything is legit).

EDIT: sometimes venues have their own coordinations that you can work with too :o)

I hired someone that's in that middle tier and talked to other foks that provide that level of service.  I knew I wanted to pick out a lot of things myself, but I wanted someone to take over the last couple of weeks.  I went to a couple of bridal shows to talk to folks and also looked at websites and blogs.
