2 questions

1) For those of you who had an earlier reception that ended pretty early (ours is from 5-9PM) what did you do afterwards? That's too early for me, I'm a night owl and if I didn't have to wake up with my daughter in the mornings I'd be up until 4AM every night (morning lol?).

2) For those of you who own DSLRs or have family members who own them, did they have any issues getting photos during the actual ceremony? I have a DSLR and I plan on letting someone use it to take photos during the ceremony (from their seat, I know they can't actually get up and take them lol) but I know some chapels in Vegas have an issue with guests taking photos for whatever reason.

When I was going to have my wedding at Circus Circus, they had a strict no photograph policy. I imagine they fine you or make a big stink in the middle of your wedding. When I was considering chapel of the flowers I remember reading reviews about the strict no photography policy on their grounds and how they always ruin the moment with their "no camera speech." I'm now getting married at TI and they allow non flash photography from the guests but they can't leave their seats. If they do catch a flash they charge you 100. Its whatever I guess. At least they can take pictures. Not looking forward to the Cashman idiots when my brother is an amazing amateur photographer.

I believe the reason for the no-flash-photography policy is to prevent someone from ruining the photograher's shot. 

I have my own DSLR I plan to have someone shoot with, as well as two professional photographers who will be guests.  I haven't spoken to the photographers about this yet, as I don't intend for them to "work" as my guest.  However, if they would like to shoot, I would prefer they use available light and shoot as "open" as possible.  My main priority is to ensure the photographer gets the shots for which I'm paying him.

Yeah I know that CoF is like that which is why I was curious about other places.

And I also understand why they say no flash as auto flash that comes with cameras freaking sucks, even on a DSLR. Although we're getting married outside at CP at 3:30 so even if someone had their camera on auto I doubt the flash would go off as long as it's not too shady and that's true but SOME (not all as I know it depends on who you have) photos I've seen from CP cermonies haven't been amazing and our photographer won't be shooting the actual ceremony.

I can let you know if we have any problems with this soon. We get married on the 28th in the Venus Garden and two of FI's brothers have DSLR's which I know they wouldn't leave at home. I hope we don't have any issues.
