Jeanna Hayes Studios Photography in Las Vegas

My husband and I got officially engaged on the 4th of July, 2010 and started planning right away.  It was then that we both started to panic.  We were both excited about getting married, but the idea of the stress and expense of a wedding were jus too much for us.  We decided to elope to Las Vegas.  Yes, actually elope.  We did not tell our family or friends and we are so happy we did.  We were married only 3 weeks after we got engaged and had a wonderful wedding (just the two of us) and fabulous week long honeymoon at the Four Seasons in Las Vegas.  Even though we eloped, we both really wanted very professional pictures to be able to show everyone, since they weren't able to be there.  We were SO lucky to find Jeanna Hayes.  I found her name on the Knot boards, but only because people were asking about her and then I found he website and I loved it.  I am here to tell you that from the initial phone call and emails to getting the final pictures, it could not have gone better.  She was great at communication, she made us feel relaxed on the day of our wedding and, most of all, the pictures are fantastic.  They aren't just good, they are really fantastic.  She did some "artistic edits" to some of the pictures (see the second on below) and then you can have her tweak others when you get the initial disc.  I also like that she has her pricing on her website and you don't have to jump through hoops to get a pricing answer.  Along those same lines, she is very cost effective. You can't really see them and you don't get the full effect since they are so small, but I went ahead and included a few of the shots we like.

If you have any specific questions, I am happy to answer them.

These are nice photos, but they are not vibrant (colorful) enough for me. Maybe it's the camera used or the photographer's style but I don't really like the vintage look for pictures.  To each their own and different people go for different looks!

Unfortunately VG & Olivea were probably suspicious because you had never posted before.  I will admit that I was suspicious too.  There were some previous posts that would pop up raving about the same vendor by people who had just joined & never posted before.  Everyone was suspicious that this was the vendor (or friends of the vendor) trying to plug her work.

Congratulations on your wedding and your pics are beautiful.

Thanks for the well wishes; our whole wedding experience was awesome.  I guess my response came off as a bit dramatic, but I was pissed and I felt that going for dramatic instead of just plain, old pissed off worked best at the time.  I like specific details in posts that I read and I also own my own business (I flip houses for a living, nothing to do with pictures or weddings).  I like details and specifics in my work, so I guess it translated.  I do not know any other way to write.  Guess I should have said "we don't have a ton of money, we wanted great pictures and we got it with Jeanna" and that was it.  I just don't understand all this crap on a site for weddings.  Anyway, happy happy.....

If I remember right, I think you said that in another thread where someone was posting about Mindy Bean and a bunch of us thought she was a fake or a vendor. She said she wasn't a vendor but I don't think she ever posted again. And around that time there were a lot of one post wonders about Mindy Bean. I think you are more willing to give people the benefit of the doubt. Which is nice, but try to see it from another perspective.  We are all here to share ideas, get advice, learn about Vegas resources, and it's kind of sketchy when a person with NO posts comes in raving about one particular vendor. I don't think you need to have 1000 posts, but to have no posts is a little odd.  Not saying all one posters are fakes or vendors, but it does make you wonder.

Let's be real. Lots of ppl get married in Vegas w/ NO help from this board. If they just planned a wedding in 3 weeks, and didn't find any vendor reviews for their vendor and used them anyway, maybe they just want to share the knowledge.

Yep and equally possible it isn't. I'm just saying why not err on the side of being welcoming & polite.

When it is an actual vendor (that I've seen here), I feel totally ok w/ calling them out. Being snarky to another bride, useless. There's already a board for that...Snarky Brides.

I think I post enough that I'm not known as someone who just attacks random people or says rude things very often, and I regularly congratulate new brides and first time posters.  I asked a simple one line question because I thought it was odd that someone made a first post about one and only one vendor instead of all their vendors, which is a far more common first post, said she found that vendor on this site when the only mention that vendor has ever had was in one thread last month 7 days before her wedding date, the vendor isn't in the TK vendor list and also isn't in the vegas knotties list or FAQ.<span class="mceitemhidden">  If it's legit, well then congrats, glad she found a vendor she liked and I appreciate her well wishes for me that the negativity in my life fades away.

I am the original poster back on here to try to make something positive about all of this junk.  I'm going going to try and ignore the negativity part.  I did not realize the that I would be making myself more legitimate if I made a list of all my vendors (thought to do them separately).  Anyway,  I also found Stevie Danielle Hair and Make-up.  One girl came to my room early in the morning and she was great.  She took a ton of time, she did my hair EXACTLY like I wanted (I had a picture with me) and my make-up was perfect.  Advice to brides: Airbrush your make-up.  I also think that if you can get a good deal and fit it into your budget, the best place you can stay in Las Vegas is the Four Seasons.  Staying there completely made our trip.  They treat you like a million bucks without being snotty about it.   You can go be crazy next door at Mandalay Bay and then walk from Mandalay casino right into the serenity of The Four Seasons through your own, private door that you have to have a Four Seasons room key to get in.

Your welcome.  I hope the original message of my first post was not lost.  I am so lucky that I was able to pull this off in such a short period of time; believe me, the tongues are wagging at home as to the reason and we aren't even having kids ;-)
Anyway, if you are looking for a photographer, look at her website, email her or call her and check her out.  She did exactly what we asked and I'm sure she can do of great job of making anyone's ideas come to life.  If you feel better about all this, tell her you saw "Kimberly and Tommy's" pictures from the Four Seasons and she will let you know and I didn't know her before the wedding.  Good luck and congrats.

NChousehunter- If you aren't a vendor than I apologize, but unfortunately I do side eye anyone with one post who comes in with glowing reviews about 1 vendor only.

Your dramatic and long winded response made me LOL.  My response/agreement with VG was not malicious and I have zero negativity in my life. I simply noticed the same things VG pointed out a few comments up.

It gets really sketchy when someone only raves about one vendor. And by sketchy, I mean sketchy.

But the difference here is that you stuck around to answer questions. Most "brides" that sign up for The Knot, and post about one single vendor, never come back---and, it turns out, are somehow affiliated with the vendor they just plugged.

    So, thanks for sticking around!

I am shocked!! I was just about to do the same thing as nchousehunter and write a review of how amazing Jeanna is.  I never go on theknot.com anymore since I was married 2 years ago and I've never written a review before either.  But, that doesn't take away the integrity of someone's opinion.  After 2 years I still look at my wedding photos around our house daily and am in LOVE with them.  Jeanna captured the love and memories that were shared on my wedding day.  I was actually looking around theknot.com website trying to figure out how to write a review of how amazing Jeanna's and her work is.

So why would you drag up a post that's almost a year old? ETA - I mean why wouldn't you just start your own post to tell us how great she is? And why wouldn't you maybe talk about other vendors that made your day great?
