Ocean Isle Beach Vendor Help

I just picked my locations and date and now need help with vendors: officiant, catering, flowers, bakery, DJ etc! Has anyone had particularly good or bad experiences with vendors at OIB?

    Just wanted to say Congrats! I live real close to OI but I was married in Charlotte. I'm not sure on vendors.  There is Calabash Photography, you can check that out.  Also look in Wilmington, because its really not far and lots of people around here use Wilmington resources.

    Oh, and if you want Wilmington recs, I'd be happy to help you. Just got married here in Wilmington and had nothing but good experiences.

    Congrats and welcom to the board!  I am getting married in Surf City in Sept. 

    Our baker I believes delivers to Ocean Isle.  Her name is Kathy Canby.  Her cakes are amazing and her prices even better!  She is very sweet.  Check out her website: http://www.kathycanbycakes.com/.

    Our officiant is Rev Skip.  He is a really nice guy.  He ahs really worked with us to put a ceremony together that fits us.  I believe his website is www.weddingoftopsail.com

    We are getting out flowers overnighted from Hawaii.  We are having a topical wedding.  It was actually very reasonable: $300 for everything including shipping.  Not sure if that is what you are looking for.


    Our catering is coming from Courthouse Cafe.  Renee is awesome!!!!!  She put together an amazing spread while really working to stay in our budget.

    I 100% recommend Rev. Skip. He was so wonderful and I felt like I'd known him for years when really I met him 5 min before our ceremony!

    OOO I live in Ocean Isle Beach :)

    Cake: Sugar Confections: Monique Holenko. They are delicious :) And she provides a free wedding anniversary cake the next year.

    Caterer: Art Catering at the Purple Onion

    Photography: Calabash Photography is good but expensive.  Erika Currin photography is who did my engagement pics and they turned out great.  Much cheaper!

    Florist: Coastal Florist in Shallotte is good. So is Expressions at Holden Beach.

    DJ: There is a guy named Keith Gannet that DJ's over on the beach during the weekend.  He does a good job and keeps the party going. Message me and I'll give you his number.

    Bob Weathers from First Baptist Church in Shallotte is marrying us.  He's really easy to get along with, and pretty funny too!
