Our wedding was on 5/4 at the Platinum Hotel Misora Terrace and it was absolutely perfect! Justus and I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. We planned this wedding sight unseen from the DC area so I was a little nervous but you Knotties did not led us wrong with your awesome feedback on this board. So here is my review to help future LV brides!
Cosmopolitan Hotel - Wrap Around Terrace (A+) We used for our Meet and Greet for about 33 people the night before the wedding. I liked the idea of the Meet and Greet in a suite so everyone can walk around, socialize and chat without having a waiter rushing you out. It also ended up being an economical choice as well although a bit stressful. You may recall some previous drama with them on my previous posts. We spoke with the hotel several times explaining we wanted to have a small gathering, which they were cool with and we even arrange to have extra glasses brought up. They were cool with everything until the FI called a week before regarding something and "Bru" told us we couldn’t have more than six people and if we did, guests could be escorted out by security. So we were worried however when we checked in we were told we were in the East Tower. There are two towers the East and West and the West Tower has a bellhop area with guys to help you bring stuff in and carts. The East Tower does not have this so although my FI and i had to make several trips with the food and beverages, we did not have anyone to watch what we brought in, which was a huge plus. We even hired a bartender and extra high top tables for the terrace and we went unnoticed. Since the weather was nice with the terrace and suite we had plenty of room and since the view of the fountains was so amazing, everyone was mostly outside. The view of the strip and Bellagio fountains made all of the stress worth it!!!! Our signature drink was a dirty blue cheese stuffed martini and they were amazing!! The bathroom was crazy huge and beautiful and the bed super comfty. The most beautiful room I've stayed in, in Vegas.
Maggianos (A+) such a delicious idea/cost effective idea for the Meet and Greet food! Everyone crushed the chicken piccata and stuffed mushrooms. We had an extra tray of baked ziti and an extra bowl of salad left over but since our hotel room at the Platinum had a refrigerator everyone came down to our suite for lunches the next day. It was more reasonably priced then Masterpiece and more substantial food ...which was good since we had huge drinkers that night
Debi Fit for a Bride. (A+ ) I shipped my dress to her about two weeks prior and my dress looked amazing when I picked it up on Thursday. She did a great job on the FI tuxedo as well. She even picked up my dress and his tuxedo the day after the wedding, will clean them and shipped them to my mom’s house while we were on our honeymoon so we wouldn’t have to worry about flying with it. Shipping something as important as your wedding dress can be super stressful but Debi puts you right at ease with her experience and down to earth personality. Flying to Mexico for our honeymoon I saw a groom struggle with carrying on his brides dress and trying to find a place for it (with no help from the United attendants) and was relieved I didn't try and go that route. Side note - Someone earlier posts that Debi reminds you of a hip aunt and I can totally see that! Love her!!
