With my invatations I want to include an overnight card that incudes not just the hotel we are staying at but also at 2 others. How do you word it? I want it to say something like the bride and groom will be staying at mandalay bay and you are more then welcome to stay there as well but below I have included other hotel information as well? Anyone have any ideas or can show me how they did it?

    Maybe this?:

    Accommodations:
We will be staying at Mandalay Bay.
    Mandalay Bay
    Rates: $$-$$
    Phone number/website

    Nearby hotels:
    Luxor
    Rates: $$-$$
    Phone number/website

    Tropicana
    Rates: $$... etc etc

Do you have room blocks at any of these hotels?

This is how I worded it on my wedding website:

    (hotel information.. blah blah blah...)

Please do not feel obligated to reserve a room at one of these hotels.  We know some people may have other kinds of discounts or packages they would like to use, so feel free to reserve a room anywhere you'd like.

This is exactly what I said on my website:

We have booked a block of rooms for you at the Golden Nugget in fabulous downtown Las Vegas.  Now, while there are numerous hotels to stay in on Fremont Street, we recommend that you choose to take advantage of the room block and stay with us at the Golden Nugget.  The rooms are newly renovated, with the Rush Tower just recently completed in 2009 and are nicely appointed.  The GN also has a great pool that includes a water slide through the middle of a shark tank.  Yes, a shark tank.  A great pool in Vegas in August is a must.

For you Vegas first timers, be aware that the Golden Nugget is not on the strip.  If you choose to stay on the strip, you will not really be near us. Check out lasvegas.com or vegas.com for help finding a strip hotel. You should be aware that we will make fun of you should you choose to stay on the strip with the other tourists. It will require a cab and/or bus ride to get out to the Golden Nugget and that's no fun.

Again, we highly recommend that you stay with us. Downtown Las Vegas is lots of fun and the Fremont Street Experience is a don't miss sight.

    Bi-oh-rama
    Now with more wedded bliss.

I don't get married often, but when I do, I do it in Las Vegas.

    No website at all?

I was REALLY proud of my website and none of those fuckers used it.  Okay, maybe a couple but most people didn't even look.  I know it.

Bastards.  I was really bummed that we only had two people sign the guestbook part of our site.  We had 84 guests show up, I would have thought we'd at least get a few more "can't wait!" comments.  Oh well...

    Sorry for the threadjack OP!

Daayyum. That website is incredible. I was proud of mine (but wish I had discovered Weebly before mywedding.com) but now it just blows by comparison.
Your guests have dirty pirate hooker tendancies if they didn't visit your website all the time.

    Mine: http://www.mywedding.com/davidnatashavegas/index.html
I'm going to delete my link eventually, since it's got last names and stuff.

FUN FACT: davidnatashavegas contains the phrase "have-gas"

PS, OP- be sure to include room block information (how to make reservations, group code/name, etc) on the card.

    Trashie,

I like your site!  It's super easy to use.  Don't bash it.

And, yes, my guests are total dirty hooker pirates.  (did you see the pirate on my website?)

    I just found it!  LOLZ.

I can't believe you're so close. Are you dying of excitement? FI just asked me if I wanted to go to dinner at Planet Hollywood's buffet (one of our favorites) in 39 days. We will be in Vegas in 39 days. I flipped the F out.

Holy crap, we were in Vegas in December 2004 for our final scouting trip for our April 2005 wedding! We probably passed by you downtown. One of the teams (I think it was Wyoming) was staying downtown, I think at the Plaza. They were all walking down Fremont Street in a line wearing matching jerseys one night and I remarked to my then-FI on how small they looked up close.

I remember the dealers at the Nugget were all wearing football jerseys all week. Not matching, specially-made Golden Nugget football jerseys, because that would have made sense (were those the Tim and Tom days?), but ratty old faded jerseys that they all brought from home. They looked so tacky.

And I'm totally jealous that your wedding is at the Nugget! We asked about having ours there and they couldn't have been less accommodating if they tried.

Fuuck Wyoming.  That night was FREEZING and they ran out of hot chocolate by half time.  I was so cold but we were winning (UCLA) but THEN there was the goddamn punt.  We returned it for good yardage but there was penalty so they let them punt again.  Fuuck me if that punt didn't bounce off our receiver's HEAD.  Wyoming picked it up and beat us.  Then we had to go stand in a freezing cab line a hundred years long.

Anyhoo, we didn't stay at the Nugget that year.  We stayed at the Monte Carlo.  We didn't "discover" the fantasm that is the GN until 2008.

Dude, the coordinator at the hotel, Silke, has been AMAZING.  Super nice and very accommodating.  It bums me big time that you had a bad experience.  The group sales lady, pool manager, Gold Diggers Res manager have all been awesome.  From helping me handle my parents' room, to getting us dice for the favor bags, to sending chocolate covered strawberries to our room during our site visit, they have all been great.

Thanks for the kudos on the site (I assume you mean wedding guest site and not bio site); I'm glad SOMEONE is noticing.  Also, I am glad that Delight Boutique is doing your paper.  She is fantastic.
