photog issue - eff.

One of our friends (who is an amazing photographer) was going to come to Vegas to do our non-ceremony pics.  It turns out he can't afford to come now, which is totally understandable.  We're still going to invite him in case his situation changes.

However, we don't have a big budget ($750) for a photog, and it looks like B&W is booked that day.  Everyone else I looked at are in the $1000+ range, even though we'd only need them for 4 hours. 

I'm bummed - photography is one of the most important things to me for the wedding, and I'm not sure where else we can cut to make an expensive photog work

Thanks sucks! anyway you can throw that budget to your friend? Might that help him get to vegas?

ditto rferry....pay the $$ for him to go to Vegas to be your professional photag for the weekend.

Unfortunately, he's coming from Canada, so the flight alone would be $900+.  We offered him some money before to help cover expenses, but we'll see what we need to do to convince him (and it's still less than a professional).  I'm crossing my fingers he can make it work.

In the meantime, I emailed a couple photographers to see if we could get any of them even for a couple hours.

What is it with the flights to Vegas this past week especially from Canadian departures?!  They have went way up

I KNOW!  Well, my FI was hoping to visit from The Great White North and flights went up $300 overnight.  :(

I think you should talk to the vendors, you never know someone might give you a price break. Best of luck with this!!

Thank you!  I've emailed a couple already, and will keep pounding the e-pavement. :)  I've been so lucky so far with my vendors/times, I figured the third weekend in May would eventually start booking up!

Try captureproductionslv.com or Google KK photography las vegas.  They have a $395.00 internet special and are based in Las Vegas. If my budget allows for an extra photographer I am going to book them for after ceremony pictures.
