    I have no pictures. . but. . .

we bought paper bags from Michaels (with Coupon). We got the purple colored ones and then got sliver and purple ribbon (the kind you can make curly) to tie bows on the handles of the bags.

    We put 2 water bottles
    -2 sodas (cheerwine and something else. . . NC style :) )
-3 small bags of chips (Utz brand. . our Fav)
    -3 Cereal Granola Bars
    -4 homemade Choc Chip Cookies
    -Hersey's Kisses
-Hand written card thanking guests for coming up for our wedding
-Directions stuck in the cards to Venue and to our House from hotel (we forgot to insert these into the invites and we were having family come over to our home after the reception so felt it necessary to add this in.

I've heard of people putting in maps and 'things to do' brochures too, but I didn't have time to collect all of this as these were a last minute splurge.

Our guests LOVEEED them and many said it was very sweet and they'd never seen it done before.

We did Gable boxes filled with southern goodies:

    Included were:
    • Sundrop
    • Cheerwine
    • Lance Cracker pack
    • Peanuts
    • 2 mini chocolate bars with monogram labels
    • A personal "prescription" with candy since DH and I are pharmacists
    • A welcome letter, directions, local attractions/restaurants
    • A 2010 county visitors guide
We placed the goodies inside on blue tissue paper, then sealed the boxes with a ribbon and monogram sticker.

These are so cool.  I would love to do something like this but 90% of my guests are OOT.  I guess we could do it just for the family though.

shigaites, 50% of our guest list is OOT too... I'm only making it for the people who haven't visited us before already. Some of his family come down several times a year, so I'm not making one for them to help cut costs, and they pretty much know their way now.

75% of our guest list is OOT, and none of them have ever been here. I like the gable box idea... where did you get yours?

    So far we have:

-Itinerary and a map to and from my parents place and our wedding location with a note from my fiance and I expressing our thanks for them taking the time to celebrate with us
    -Bottles of water
-Bottle of sweet tea (my fiance could live off of it and most of our OOT guest are from the west coast and have never had real sweet tea)
    -Homemade trail mix and muffins
-Bert's Bees chapstick (my fav & made right here in Durham!)
-CD of my fiance and I's favorite songs
-$5 gift card to starbucks (1 for each guest-my fiance and I met working our way through college at starbucks)
-A box of Barnum animal crackers (my favorite as a kid)
-Mini first aid kit (a few band-aids, Tylenol, mints, tide to go pens, kleenex packet, saftey pin and bobby pins)

The next 3 are a bit different, my fiance and I had our first "date" at my apartment watching Fight Club so we decided to include a few things to incorporate that:
-A copy of Chuck Palahniuk's Fight Club book
-A handmade bookmark with our "wedding owls" (my fiance made our invitations and we are having an owl theme through out our reception)
-Lastly, I found the most amazing soap maker on etsy who has an exact replicate mold of the Fight Club Soap so we are including a bar in each bag

I am doing OOT bags for all guests (we are having a small, family only ceremony in Cozumel).  I have found totally cute bags for the girls and I think more "manly" drawstring bags for the boys.  I am really wanting to do a cute iron on transfer, but I don't want it to be too cheesy so no one will use the bag again.  Any suggestions?

I'd do something based on the location instead of on the wedding or on the date or your names or whatever.

People are more likely to use a bag with a palm tree or sunshine or whatever people relate to Cozumel than with your initials or date on it.

Thanks!  I have opted to skip the iron on transfer and instead go with kind of cute/cheesy location specific luggage tags.
