Welcome bag questions

A few questions related to welcome bags... I want to pick up brochures, coupon books, etc. to go in the bags. I'm assuming I should head to the convention center? For people who have done this before, do you just show up and grab a bunch of stuff? Or did you call ahead?

How does delivery to guests work (in theory)? Do we drop them at the front desk? Bell hop? I know I read over the summer someone had issues with the bags getting to the guests. But I'm willing to risk it and give it a shot!

Thanks for the info!

We swung by Mandalay Bay concierge desk and got maps of the property without any advance notice and I think my mom called ahead to get booklets of Vegas from the conventional center.

As for dropping the bags off, you can talk to the hotel bell desk. They will charge you, I think its $5 a bag. We did that for the hotel we were having the wedding at.  Others we did it when we saw people other places a couple days before the wedding.

I haven't done it yet but I called the convention center and placed the "order" and will be picking up. Some people have them shipped to them but to me that's another thing to have to ship there. Seeing as we shipped 7 somewhat bigger boxes, think we're good;) Some brides have had issues at MB specifically and it costs per bag. Our favors will be in the bags so we're not willing to risk it. Most of our guests are staying at MB or Thehotel so we are just hand delivering to them. The other few that are staying at other hotels we're going to stop by their hotels to see about dropping at front desk and see how it goes, otherwise we'll hand deliver that handful too. Granted we only have 38 guests though.

Thanks for the info! Yeah, we have 43 guests, with over half staying with us at the Platinum. We've got 5 other hotels to deliver to (none of them are staying at MB, so hopefully we wont face any charges for the bags). So I think it's doable. I'll give the convention center a call.
