Nevada-Las Vegas

Minneapolis Knotties

Hi ladies!  If you and your guests or some of your guests already booked your flights, wondering how you went about it and how much you got them for?

How Much and what Airline?

How far in advance did you book?

Did you do a package or book separately?

Our wedding isn't until Oct. 2011, but there are flights right now for our weekend for $257, direct flight, I can't imagine it will get lower than that, but you never know either.  My thought is booking separately is the route to go, since hotels have sooo many deals, I say if there is a cheap flight jump on that, cheap to me for a direct flight means anything under $300.  I think we will do a room block at the Flamingo too which is where our reception is.  TIA!

I haven't booked for our trip yet.  But I have gone to Vegas a lot from Minnesota.  I would say that $257 is a great deal.

For me booking seperatly is the way to go.  We get a room for a night as part of our package.  So it's definitely cheaper for us.

We booked  a package for 7 nights hotel at Mandalay Bay and airfare through orbitz. We flew non-stop with Delta. Flight without hotel was around $220.

We booked about 3 months out, but were checking prices constantly.

$257 is a good price, basically everyone but us is coming from Minneapolis to Las Vegas for the wedding...

Thanks for the responses, that's what I kind of figured too, that it is a good price, but some of my friends that go there a lot say they think it will go lower, but in like the $210-$250 range.

If the price was just $20 less I'd be like we're booking now, so why on earth $20 per ticket makes that big of a deal to me is beyond me, as I'll be more ticked if the price goes up than what it's at now. It's a crap shoot I guess!

All of our guests booked sun country and paid just a few dollars over 200 (nonstop).  DH and I booked a package but ours was close to the same for air except we had a layover in Dallas.

@11Vegas7 - How far in advance did you book?

It even went up even more from this morning.  So yeah I'm done looking for a little while here as obviously these specific flights keep going up, I'll just wait until new ones are added.

Have you looked at farecast.com (now part of bing.com)?  It usually says whether a flight is "likely" to go up or down.

I think about $250-$275 nonstop from MSP to LAS is a great deal.

    Good luck! :)
