Vegas Wedding Ideas

I am just beginning to plan an intimate wedding in Las Vegas.  My fiance and I would like to keep things small and relatively inexpensive.  I estimate that we may have 30 to 40 guests attending, but do not want to have a traditional reception.  We would still liked to provide dinner and drinks for our guests, but in a more casual atmosphere.  Our wedding is still over a year away so we have plenty of time to look around, but just not sure where to look.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • Reception dinner at Nobu inside the Hard Rock and then dancing at Rehab right after.  That's what I would do =)

Somehow I don't think that would be very inexpensive...

  • You could look at Trevi .

Is there a certain type of food you want? Budget?
  • In suite idea might work too. Or Maggiano's?

  • Not including flights, define inexpensive- we are at about 5 1/2k for reception w meal/bar, ceremony, transport for guests, drinks, on strip photo session w/limo, cup cakes. Add $900 for our share of the house rental (for a week)- There's so many ways to do everything- just post an idea of what u want and the responses will flow in.

  • If I was going to have only 30-40 people I would probably do a reception at Firefly. The banquet room fee is $200 and you have a separate entrance, bathroom and bar. Tapas and Sangria (or whatever cocktails) yum!

I'm also a fan of the Golden Nugget.  Their menu is online now!

  • In-suite is definitely a popular way to go for that number of guests, and depending on which resort you use, the suite and view could be quite incredible.  Most resorts don't officially allow third party vendors, but using one will save you even more over having the resort cater it.

  • For those of you having in-suite receptions, where are you having your ceremonies?

Check out downtown restaurants. Fattytoro mentioned the Golden Nugget and they have many delicious dining options. I am hosting a dinner at Binions Ranch Steakhouse, they have a glass elevator that leads to a small open dining room with beautiful views of the strip and the mountains. Another excellent choice is the Pasta Pirate (inside the California Hotel and Casino) has excellent pasta, seafood, and steak options if you have a small enough group. The meal at the pasta pirate (the food is better then the name suggests) also includes a glass of wine.
