In-Suite Reception help

Ok ladies, I have decided (finally) to go with an in-suite reception so my fiancé and I can have food, drink, and dancing at our reception. I have seen many posts of ladies having their reception at the Vista Suite at Mandalay Bay, is that THE place to have a reception? That suite looks AWESOME, but we are staying at TI and we are having our ceremony there as well, and I'm afraid that it would be difficult to have 30+ people able to make their way from TI to MB. I was wondering if anyone has had an in-suite reception at Wynn, Caesars Palace, Mirage, or any hotel within walking distance to Treasure Island? If so, what room did you get and was the hotel ok with outside catering and booze? Thanks ladies!!

Hi! We had our insuite reception in the Tradewinds Suite at MB and loved it. It's a little bit smaller than the Vista but is a penthouse so was more expensive (the Vistas were all booked up)
I haven't seen anyone on here have an insuite at the hotels you have mentioned, it may be worth giving the hotels a call to see what their policy is. Would planet Hollywood be close enough? The Panorama Suite there is gorgeous and I know PH are fine with outside caterers etc
There are links and reviews to all of our vendors in my bio if you need them

I know there's a gigantic suite at Caesar's with a dance floor and everything, but I also know it's crazy expensive, and I think they're fairly strict about using the in-house catering.

MGM's Terrace suite is a pretty good price, and while I think they officially don't allow outside caterers, most of the big caterers will deliver there.  There's a monorail stop right inside MGM, and I think there's one not terribly far from TI.

Honestly, there are tons of means of transportation around the Strip: cabs are everywhere, the Deuce and monorail are pretty cheap, if they have a car they can just drive, and so on.  TI to MB is definitely too far to walk, but that's far from your only option.
This is a neglected planning bio.
This is a belated married bio, with no reviews yet because I'm lazy.

Sometimes I feel like people think that brides are delicate little flower princesses who get all dressed up and pretty for one special moment of their dreams, when really they're just normal people who just happen to be getting married. Things shouldn't have to be sugar-coated for grown-ass women. -mstar284

I am having my ceremony at TI and my in-suite reception at Planet Hollywood in the Panorama Suite. I had the same thought as you and didn't want my guests to have to go all the way to Mandalay Bay, and Planet Hollywood is a mile from TI so I figured they could walk or take the monorail. I am also throwing around the idea of renting a bus for an hour to transport the guests (depending on budget).

Hi, have you checked out the Mirage? I don't know anyone that's actually had a reception, but we're thinking of booking one for a graduation party this summer. The Mirage is next door. They have their own private backyard and they look big enough for 30 people.

The monorail is kindof a ways for people to walk if they're dressed; from TI they'd have to walk to Mirage, cross the street to Harrah's, walk through the casino towards the back, take the escalator to the 2nd level then there's signs that point you the way. The monorail messed up when they took the Wynn stop off their route, it was a great in between stop from Harrah's and the Convention center.

If you check out The List, I believe there's a bride that had a reception at Caesar's Absolute Vodka suite.

Planet Hollywood would be just a couple of stops on The Duece from TI...the only thing is that it isn't terribly dependable. If you do depend on that for your transportation, make sure you give your guests sometime.

Maybe look at Bally's also.  They have a penthouse suite that is really nice and big.  We had ou in suite reception at MB but Bally's was our 2nd choice.  Good luck.

Do you know if PH is ok with outside food and drinks being brought in?

Thank you so much ladies! I can't tell you how helpful everyone is on this forum!
Kmills811, how many people are you having in the room? We will have about 35 people so I'm not sure if we should try and get the Boulevard Suite which is a little bit bigger.

We are having between 40-45, I heard it can fit up to 50 comfortably so you should be good! I was thinking of getting the Boulevard suite too, but it is more expensive and when I called last month it was not available to book yet so I did not want to risk not getting a suite at all and booked the Panorama. I also like that we have the 360 view of the strip in the Panorama.

The view in the panorama suite was great. We had a wonderful view of the eiffel tower at paris and the bellagio fountaints. We just loved it. I want to go back now, just thinking about it.
The outside vendors know all the tricks to getting upstairs with no problems and we had room service in and out of our room throughout the whole week. We just made sure to tip nicely because of all the extras they were helpng us with...plates, glasses, etc.

I definitely agree.  Panarama Ste seems beautiful.  We are also having an in-suite reception (L-Suite in MB) catered by Materpiece Cuisine.  MC confirmed that they can get in at most of the hotels.  You may want to ask your caterer for suggestions; they know the ins and outs !!!

We are thinking of going with Bally's Penthouse Suite. I was just in Vegas and looked at MB and Bally's but we are hoping to do our ceremony at Caesars Palace and I like the proximity of Bally's. It is double the price of MB but I just got a better vibe at Bally's. Below are pics from Bally's but I also have pics from Mandalay Bay...

I also have pics from MB.
