Local Ladies - Tattoo Parlors

My fiance and his little brother want to get another tattoo while in Las Vegas.  Any recommendations for reputable places on or near the strip?  Any places that you would absolutely not recommend?

This is definitely my area lol. Let's see first of all most of the tattoo shops on the strip have minimums of at least $100. Most people I know always complain first ab out the price because in other states they're much cheaper. I always thought you should pay for quality work as opposed to bargain hunting for artwork that is going to be on your skin FOREVER.

Ok now that you let me vent lol....There is a local chain shop called Diversity by the stratosphere, right next to it there is a shop called Tattoo Heaven.  They have great artists and are not as expensive. Both shops take walk-ins. If you're willing to go off the strip just a little there are two shops closer to the palms called Studio 21 and Last Chance tattoo that do amazing work but I'm not so sure they take walk ins you might have to make an appt. Also, a tattoo shop just opened up that is owned by a famous  pinup girl  named Sabina Kelly inside the Fashion Show Mall. That should be worth checking out.

Shops I would not reccommend would be anything in a casino!

I've been toying with get another tattoo for a while.  That might be fun to do while down there to commemorate the wedding week.

Melissa-  Thanks so much for the recommendations.  I get your gripe about people complaining about prices.  This is permanent, let's not cut corners!

I'll pass the recs off to my fiance for him to look into.  I will definitely post pics if they go through with it.  Fiance wants to get an Irish harp.  His little brother wants to get a rubiks cube because he's a freaking genius and knows how to do one ridiculously fast.

My DH got his "wedding week" tattoo at a place called Quick Draw Tattoo.  Its on Rainbow and the 215 (not on the strip).  The tattoo is an anchor and totally awesome, but by no means cheap.  I agree with Melissa that you get what you pay for.

I have also heard good things about Studio 21.

Good luck and I'd love to see pictures when they are done.  I don't personally have any, but all of my friends have bunches.  Go figure

Melissa - have you heard anything, good or bad, about Precious Slut on Charleston?  I work in a law firm downtown and PS right behind us, so I could go in after work.  I promised myself I'd reward myself with my first one after I lose a few more pounds.

I have permanent eyeliner, but that doesn't count!

Oh I'm so glad you posted this Olivea! I just told FI last week I want to get a tattoo while we're in Vegas...(I want to get a pair of dice on my foot). Now some of his GM's wanna get one done in honor of our friend who was killed in Afghanistan in March.

impslave- Precious Slut is also a good pick, a friend of mine manages the shop and there are alot of talented artists.
