Cupcakes - suggestions please!!

Hello :)
I'm a newbie on here and I am hoping to get suggestions for cupcakes for our in-suite reception in May 2012.

I have contacted The Cupcakery twice now by email from their website and haven't heard anything for over a month now. Both times we were in Vegas this year we stopped to get cupcakes from the Cupcakery and loved them.  Any vendors you preferred or have been awesome to work with?

Thank you in advance!

Although I have yet to taste them, look into Retro Bakery for cupcakes. They are reasonable price and they will deliver. I will be using them for my wedding here in just under 2 weeks. I am sure others will tell you they are fabulous tasting!

I second Retro Bakery - I used them for my wedding in August & the guests and I LOVED them!

One thing is, if you rent their cupcake tower, it has to be returned within 5 days and they're like 20 miles or so off the strip

When I was on my scouting trip we ordered a bunch of different cupcake flavors from Retro. They were all really good and I felt like they were a decent price. They called during the specified hours to arrange delivery and  delivered them to the front desk of our hotel almost exactly on time. Very easy to work with. I contacted them by phone, not sure how their email response it. But I would recommend them!

Ditto above, but I have heard Cupcakery is good. Maybe try calling them?

For our anniversary trip we got a dozen cupcakes from Retro: Red Carpet, Hop Scotch, Chocolate Fountain, Coffe & Donuts, PB Cup, Cookies & Cream, Vanilla Loves Chocolate, Vanilla Loves Vanilla, Cherry Cheescake, Milk & Cookies, Pink Lemonade, and Pucker Up.  They were all pretty good, the buttercream is very sweet. Didn't care for the coffee & donuts like I thought I would. My favorite was the Red Carpet and H's was chocolate fountain.

You might also be booking too early. I'm also getting married in May 2012 (on the Friday before you) and we are planning to use Retro but we are not going to order until at least the new year. I remember reading a post a long time ago about a bride being told to call back closer to the date.

We're going wtih Retro Bakery as well. I bought a cupcake stand and will decorate it at home and assamble it there. I don't want to deal with returning stuff after the wedding.

Were using the Cupcakery, they're a preferred vendor at Joe's Stone Crab - Stephen has always been responsive & pleasant to work with  - really accommodating since our former cupcake vendor moved out of state (!!!??). Bummed to hear you're having a bad time with them.I would definitely try calling - Stephen helped us work with our budget a TON
