Nevada-Las Vegas

A few questions!

Ok, so I am very new here, like within minutes new, and I just came across this site and it has given me so many questions to ask.  First, I have noticed that a few people are getting married at Caeser's Palace, I will be getting married there on June 26 of this year in the Juno Garden.  I know it's going to be hot and mildly uncomfortable, but we both work full-time and go to school full-time, so this is our summer break.  We will also be staying at Caeser's for the duration of our trip, which is 7 days.  We have been to Vegas numerous times, and in fact we got engaged in Vegas last July.

So my first question, is has anyone who is getting married at Caeser's, or did get married there, have Jamie as a WC?  We booked our wedding in November and I received one email from her at that time and she said we would talk when the time was closer, now I'm starting to worry that I haven't heard from her.

Second, we booked the Cleopatra package, which includes photography during our ceremony, but that is it.  I was going to purchase additional photography through the property, but I noticed a lot of you have booked outside photographers for your photos.  I know that we would not be allowed to use an outside vendor for the ceremony, but has anyone else used the property's vendor for just the ceremony and then hired out a separate vendor for additional photos?

Third, I noticed that on the FAQ page of this board that Fit For a Bride is recommended for steaming.  They allow you to ship your dress to them and then you can pick it up for have it delivered to your hotel, has anyone done this?  Was it completely and totally nerve-wracking waiting for your dress to arrive safely?

Thank you in advance for any insight, I'm sure I will have a lot more questions, but you ladies all seem very knowledgeable about Vegas weddings!

    Welcome to the Vegas board!

I can't answer regarding weddings at Caesar's, but I'm sure some brides getting married there will pop in.

With regards to Debi, I have nothing but a big ol' <3 for her!  She re-designed, altered and steamed my dress.  I didn't have to ship or have her deliver, since I'm a local.  But I've seen nothing but positive remarks from OOT brides who've used her services.

    HTH!

    Hi!

I am gettting married at Caesars on May 1.  My wc is Shani.  She got in touch with me when I initially booked the ceremony back in October, and just emailed me last week to finalize the details.  I would expect a call in early June from your wc.

Honestly,  there isn't much to really finalize.  She will ask what kind of ceremony you want, what kind of flowers you want, etc.  I can email you the finalization email I received from her if you want to get started with it.

Caesars charges $200 per outside vendor.  We are using the hotel photographer for pictures during and immediately following the ceremony.  I am using the Cleopatra package as well, and from what I  understand, the hotel photographer takes pictures during the ceremony as well as some family and bridal photos afterimmediately after the ceremony.

I did book Deacon Tyler as an outside photographer, because I also wanted photos that weren't so formal or posed.  He is not showing up until after we are done with ceremony photos, so I wasn't charged the outside vendor fee.

    Hope this helps!

    Welcome!!!

I'm getting married at Caesar's in their Venus Garden on May 22. My WC is Brooke, and she contacted me March 22 (exactly two months before) to start finalizing things. So you should be hearing from yours soon!

To answer your 2nd question, a LOT of brides use the photographer provided in their package, and then hire their own photog to take pictures after the ceremony. But there is the option to pay the $200 vendor fee to have your own photographer take pictures during the ceremony. It's up to you....we're paying the fee!

Last but not least, I've been on this board since we were engaged Christmas 2008 and I've heard nothing but wonderful things about Debi at Fit For a Bride! I don't remember her name or bio, but a UK bride shipped her dress and Debi called her as soon as it arrived....things worked out perfectly.

    Hope I've helped a little!

Thanks for the information regarding the photographer, I may look into hiring someone who is not affiliated with the property for the reasons you stated.  Is he able to do photos on the property, or do you have to leave?  I know some hotels won't allow professional photographers to take pictures inside the hotel, but what about outside of the hotel?  I guess what I am asking, if you don't mind me asking, what are your intentions for photos with Deacon Tyler?

Welcome and congrats on your wedding in June. I'm a Venus Garden bride and I had Melissa as my WC. I know what you mean about the communication with your WC. Your WC will get in contact with you about a month before your date to finalize on the details. I wish they would explain this in the beginning, like, "Hi, I'm your WC, I will not contact you till a month before, BUT if you have any questions, feel free to email/call and I will do my best to get back to you ASAP." I mean is it so hard, we are not 'zillas but at least make us feel at ease a bit since most of us are planning from OOT. I only used their photographer for ceremony, and our package had an extra hour, so we used them to photograph the cocktail hour. That's another gripe I have with Caesar's, they should get the brides in contact with their photographer, so that way you can see if they are a fit for you and use them for more time. I went with Diggs photography for everything but the ceremony. GL!

We are using Deacon Tyler to take  photos around Caesars and the Venetian. We are having our reception at Canaletto, so it made sense to hire an outside photog.

Olivea and jccswl, thanks so much.  I like the idea of being able to take photos in numerous locations and for a couple hours after the ceremony.  Thanks so much for your references.  I definitely was starting to wonder if my WC was no longer employed with Caeser's, but it's good to know this is kind of how they operate.  Also, thanks for the positive remarks about Fit For a Bride, I will be contacting the, about their services!

Yes welcome aboard and congrats! I'm also a Caesars bride - Juno Garden - Cleopatra pkg. And like the other ladies have said - your WC will get in contact with you closer to your date. I've been told you can have your outside photographer sit in on your ceremony as long as they do not use flash or try to move around to take pictures. Just like any other guest. I'm also using Deacon Tyler. I was advised I will not have to pay the outside vendor fee, so I hope that's true! Happy planning!

After the first recommendation for Deacon I Googled him straight away and sent an email off to him.  Sarah contacted me within a half hour and I booked them right away for the two hours following my ceremony.  It works out well that way since we aren't having a formal reception, just an informal dinner with the 15 or so guests who are making the trip.  I'm so happy and grateful he was referred to us because he really is a perfect fit!  I will sit tight and wait for my WC to contact me, I suppose since I'm two and a half months away I will probably hear from her shortly.  Thanks for all the great advice, I really do appreciate it, you ladies really are on top of things!

Debi calls as soon as your dress arrives and goes through the package...I was actually relieved as I'd been trying to track down something I hadn't intended to ship. Phew! It was already in Vegas with the dress!
I didn't have any anxiousness shipping to her, but we shipped Fed Ex, did insure the package and of course tracking is the way to go!

I'm a CP bride as well - Venus Garden on June 25. My WC is Melissa and I've not heard from her yet either. When we paid the fee back on Feb 2, JoAnn told us that she would be contacting me with a week. I just emailed her to see if there is anything that we should be doing. Do you know who the CP photog is?? We have Todd from B & W for 8 hours and I've read on here that he can sit as one of our guests and take pics during the ceremony as long as he doesn't use a flash. Please correct me if I'm wrong ladies!!

WOW we are almost date and place twins as I am getting married on 28th June in Juno Garden!!  My WC is Brooke and after her initial email in which she would finalise details about a month before the wedding.
I am also using an outside photog - Todd from Bently Wilson and I am paying the outside vendor fee as I've had a look on You Tube and some of the Caesars weddings and the photog appears to be obstrusive and he can be seen on numerous occasions behind the bride and groom in the wedding video, which personally I don't like.
I will be taking my dress with me and getting Debi to steam before the wedding.
    Good luck with everything x

Thanks for the good words about Debi, I will be contacting her shortly to discuss my options!  Mloeks, you have put my mind at ease about shipping the dress, I think that is something I'm very interested in!  I'm not sure who CP uses as a photographer, I will only be using them as the photographer during the ceremony, so I will be sure to say something beforehand to stay out of the video shots, you're right marylady221,1that would be a little irritating.  Maybe I will email my WC and see if I can have contact info for the photographer, although I don't know how early they assign them to a specific wedding, it probably hasn't been done yet.  Mhoneybee, thank you, I am very much looking forward to meeting with them when we get out there in June!  It's nice to know I'm not the only one getting married outside in the desert in June!
