show me your invites!!!

i am clueless when it comes to invites, but i like the ones with the pockets. What all are you including in the invite? are you putting an rsvp card for the double decker bus or should this be done another way? Our dinner is at a buffet so there is no need to pick a meal choice. what all should be included on a response card?

Re: show me your invites!!!

  • If you wanted to include a RSVP card for the double decker bus, I don't think that would be a  bad thing - especially if it is a different day of the wedding.  In the invitation you could include a map for the pickup locations for double decker bus, ceremony and reception locations.  Maybe a timeline of events?  -If you know what they are (or if you are doing welcome bags then I would put this in them).  RSVP cards for the wedding I would just do decline or accepts so that way you know how many people will actually be attending with the number of guests.

  • Ginger P Designs on etsy has awesome pocket options. That is where I found mine. You can pick one of her designs or have her custom design for you. She also has a main website. She is such a sweetheart too. A pic of mine are in my bio, I had her customize mine to have to Vegas skyline.
  • I had a pocket on the right hand side, mine were vertical. The pocket had the RSVP card, envelope, and an enclosure card that talked about the location of the reception, the DD bus event and also about hotel room blocks.

I also sent a brochure to all guests with more information about 4 weeks before the wedding.

  • I did pocket ivitations but I made them myself on adobe illustrator and order all the paper from cardsandpockets.com I include a little information card about the DDB tour so people know there is an activity the night before the wedding.....

  • Pocket invites are cute! I got one of the "Brides" brand invite kits at Michaels while they were on sale. I haven't printed them yet since that is many, many months for me, but they do include a pouchtype thing that the invite goes into instead of something that opens and has a pocket. I think it is fine to include something on the DDB if you want. Or maybe there's a way to add it to the wedding RSVP so you get one response card back like a checkbox indicating whether they're interested in the DDB. Or... If you have a wedding website, perhaps you can make a section on the DDB and do an RSVP on the site specifically for it so it's less formal. I think there's so many good options to chose from...
  • Soontobe, PS: how's the buffet planning coming along? Contract all squared away, signed, sealed, and delivered? Haha
  • My invites are on my bio too.  I had the invites and inserts printed through Zazzle and ordered the panel pockets, belly bands and envelopes with liners through cards and pockets.  I can't say enough how happy I am with both vendors.  My invites are better than I even imagined. :)
  • Here are ours:

I never took a picture of the RSVPs but it was really simple. If you need an RSVP for the DDB I would just put one in there as well. We had the invite, reception card, RSVP, and something saying where to find our wedding website for hotel info.
  • I would just add the double decker bus as part of the original RSVP, top being for the wedding and bottom for double decker bus.

Here are my invitations. I included a timeline to make sure people knew about the shuttle.

  • I decided to go with more traditional invites. We did go with Las Vegas sign themed STD.  I chose this design.  The person I have been working with is great with communication and also very patient.

I think I am going to add two rhinestones on the belly band.
