Sneaking in flowers....

FI and I are getting married at Mandalay Bay in a few months. I have been told I cant bring in my own flowers but have read on a few reviews of ladies who have snuck theirs in. So Im wondering how ya did it? I looked at MB floral website and yikes they are bad! Any advice would be great!

im not too sure, i would think it'd be somewhat easy to sneak the boutonnière's
on the men but bouquets i think may be difficult.

im planning on sneaking the bouts and mothers corsages in...but the bouquets they show on their website are so ugly (atleast to me) and im afraid if i send them pics for a specific look i'll end up paying a TON...is it sad ive thought about getting nice bouquet and switching it from the MB one for the ceremony lol

I'm getting married at Mandalay and there really is no way of sneaking in your own bouquet. The bouquets on the website are not the only ones you could choose from because I did not care for the rose bouquet that came with my package or the ones they show on their website. I emailed the coordinator a picture of the bouquet I loved and wanted and will pay the upgrade costs.

Thanks I will have to ask about the upgrade costs. I want a nice bouquet that is resonably priced but also think I shouldnt spend a bunch since they will die. We will be in Vegas for days after the ceremony I dont think they would hold that long and make the trip home.Btw when are you getting married there? Im getting excited!

Trust me, I felt the same way as you about the flowers but my upgrade is only going to cost $173.00. To me, that's worth having a bouquet that I want and will see in my pictures forever. As long as you steer clear of expensive flowers that's where it gets really really expensive! We are getting married May 26, 2013...96 days!! I'm in full nervous/excitment mode now LOL

96 days! WOW! Id be excited/ nervous too! Im still in triple digits so Im not freaking out yet lol. We are getting married July 6th. Are you traveling far? I want to do some personal touches to the wedding weekend but since we live so far im thinking twice about it. thats a lot of extra stuff to bring and then would probably need a day to get everything put togther.

$173.00 isnt bad! I just emailed Aleena a picture of the bouquet I like so hopefully she can give me a good deal!

It took me emailing quite a few pics of bouquets that I liked before I got that reasonable price! I liked a bouquet of all Peonies and that one they wanted 800.00 for! Hell no am I paying that for a bouquet! Some others were 600, 450 etc. And I realized it's all in the flowers you want. We are in california, only a 3 hr drive so it's nice! We will be arriving the day before to drop off the favors at the restaurant, pick up the marriage license, pick up FI's tux etc. Are you getting married at Valley of the Falls or inside one of the chapels?

Hey Ladies, I just booked Valley of the Falls for our wedding next year. I was thinking the same thing about sneaking in flowers. Could you please share the link to the flower selection? Also, please post your reviews after the wedding!

I am thinking about doing welcome bags. My list of stuff so far is the freebies given by the convention center and a hangover kit. Still looking for more ideas.

I'm still debating on the welcome bags but I love the idea of doing these:

We are getting married in the Gold Chapel. When we did our visit of the chapels I loved it as soon as I walked through the doors. I love how clean and modern everything is, the velvet chairs, the crystals hanging from light fixures. Just very elegant!

Now you don't have to choose these arrangements. You can email pics of bouquets you do like to your coordinator and they can get an upgrade quote for you. I think picking my bouquet was the toughest part!

I love the  i <3 LV bags! they are too cute! we are planning on getting just plain tote bags so ppl are more likely to reuse them. The Gold Chapel is beautiful! we talked about doing it in there...also for the AC but i was so in love with VOF we decided to keep it there. we actually agreed on doing welcome bags without any arguments lol. everyone is traveling quite a ways for us so we thought it would be a nice touch. plus who wouldnt want a hangover kit lol.

</div><div>800 for a bouquet is crazy!! what kind of flowers did you end up getting? I'm actually also getting a quote from Brandon (Aleena's assistant?) right now. It has mostly peonies as well! I love peonies and ranunculus. I was told that garden roses might be less pricy??</div>

Oh peonies will be expensive! That's what I wanted all white ones and almost fell out of my chair when they told me how much lol My bouquet will be all white carnations no greenery with all bling within the bouquet, white handtied ribbon that completely covers the stems and bling around the handle.

Mandalay's florist is insane.  We gave explicit instructions on what we wanted when we were considering them (since we got married in an on-property venue) and after waiting four weeks for the quote, it was about eight times the cost of The Pallette.  Fortunately we were free to choose whatever we wanted but it left a bad taste in my mouth about their in-house floral folks.

Married in Vegas - June 2011

I just got my quote back for my bouquet...$6/ per rose and $12/ per orchid. its going to cost about $60 to get the bouquet I want. Not terrible but still pricey in my book. Got a quote on bouts & corsages from The Palette and we are def getting them from there, centerpieces as well.
Still not happy about paying $25 for 3 rose bouquet for my bridesmaids but im not sure i have any other options with that.
