Introduce yourself!  I have seen a lot of new posters lately and I don't know who you are!  We all love helping others out and "hearing" what everyone is doing with theiri own weddings, and its much more fun if we know something about the people.  So even if you've been lurking for a while and aren't really new, let us know who you are, name and FI's name if you are comfortable sharing, area of NC you are getting married in, date, venue, other details you have planned out already, etc.

My name is Beth, FI is Chris.  Getting married 10/23/10 in Greensboro, NC at Magnolia Manor.  I've got all the big stuff taken care of and am now down to the details -- accessories, candy buffet, DIY centerpieces, etc.

We have been gathering quotes for major vendors, but nothing else big booked yet!

I've posted some of this before.  My name is Barbara and FI is Scott.  We're getting married in Raleigh on 5/7/11 in Raleigh at Highland Methodist.  Our reception is at the State Club.  I've got a photographer, a dress and  a wedding coordinator to do partial planning and for a couple weeks before the wedding.  And, duu to a whole lot of other stuff going on in my life, that's it.  I keep saying I need to take care of the dj and florist, but I haven't yet.  Yikes!

My name is Valerie, FI is Will.  We live in Greensboro but are getting married on 5/21/11 in downtown Wilmington.  We stumbled upon a great event space attached to a 6 room inn and booked in nearly on the spot!  Venue (for ceremony and reception) is 128 South Events & Catering. 

Both of us are back in school continuing our education so I'm trying to get as much done as a I can this summer.  So far, I have the venue, caterer, hotel block, and will soon have a photographer.  Need to find an officiant, florist and cake vendor next!

I'm Carey, FI is Eric and we're getting married April 30, 2011 in Charlotte.  Ceremony will be at Advent Lutheran and reception at the Ranson House in Huntersville.  We've got most of the big stuff done - caterer, photographer, DJ, dress - and next on the list is flowers, transportation, and hotels.

I'm planning long distance from Austin, TX and FI lives in DC, so I'm trying to get as much done this summer as possible as well before I'm swamped in the fall with my thesis.  I've been using TK for TONS of recommendations and I just wanted to say thank you again to all of your input!  I never would have found our DJ (All the Right Grooves) or seamstress (Olga) without you all!

I'm Kathleen and Fi is Randy. We are getting married June 25, 2011 in Chapel Hill, NC. Ceremony at Union Grove United Methodist Church and reception at The Carolina Inn. We have catering (with the Carolina Inn), photographer, dress, picked out but not bought bridesmaid dresses, florists, transportation sort of, rehearsal dinner venue and picked out our paper (invites, saves the dates, programs, etc.).

Fi and I live in D.C. right now but are moving to Ann Arbor, MI in a month so Fi can get his PhD. So I am trying to get things planned this summer while we are somewhat close.

We are meeting with All the Right Grooves in a few weeks, thanks for the recommendations. We are also meeting with several bakeries in the next few weeks, and should be meeting with another hotel (other than The Carolina Inn) for hotel blocks next weekend. I am hoping to get Olga to do my alterations. Should I go ahead and make an appointment with her for May 2011? or is it too soon?

Hi Im Sarah and my FI is Dennis.  We are getting married on Feb 20th 2011.  Our wedding at  our church, St. John's Episcopal and the reception is at the Cotton Company in Wake Forest.

Ive got the ceremony and reception venues booked as well as my dress.   Right now working ont the catering, photographer, and honeymoon.  I feel like wedding planning is like another full time job sometimes!

I'm not new but since there are so many new people here is a little about me
I'm Ginger FI is Thomas.  We are getting married June 4, 2011 at Carrigan Farms in Moorseville, NC (near Charlotte & my hometown Lincolnton).  We currently live in Greenville, NC with our two "sons" Scout & Tigger--beagle & cat.

As far as wedding planning goes we have an idea for our photog, band. And we have our venue/cater booked.

I'm kinda new...I'm Erin, FI is Jim. We are getting married March 26, 2011 at the Pavilion at the Angus Barn in Raleigh, reception will be there too.
I have a dress, photographer, invitations, hair/makeup. I'm currently working on honeymoon and cake. Still searching for a DJ and videographer. FI just deployed a few days ago, so any suggestions on any vendors would be great since I won't have his "to the point" questions. Haha.

I'm not new, but I will join in the fun.

My name is Shelly and my FI's name is Daren. We live in Cary. We got enganged in in February. Such a surprise!!!! We are getting married 9/11/10 in Chapel Hill at Snipe's Farm Retreat. Pretty much everything is planned...I just need to get my butt moving on my DIY projects.

I am meeting with my DOC tomorrow. She was recommended by out pastor. I think she will be a big stress reliever for me on our wedding day.

Im not new but I figured I'd chime in. My name is Janece and FI is Brandon. We live in Cary NC and are getting married 9/17/2011 at River Ridge Golf Club in Raleigh (but even though we have paid our deposit we are thinking about moving it to the Capital City Club in downtown Raleigh). We have our photographer and venue(for the most part). Our colors are navy blue and yellow.

Not really new, but its been a while...so....

I'm Denise, my FI is Jared. He currently lives in Raleigh and I in Boone. We are planning our wedding for May 21st 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Conover, and the reception is at the Catawba Country Club in Newton. Being in school and working certainly has put a strain on the wedding planning, so I'm not really stressing on that right now. However, we've managed to book the reception venue that has a caterer available whenever we're ready, and we are going to book the photographer this comning weekend.

Hi! I'm Corinne- not new but due to some extreme busy-ness have not been around as often as I would like. FI and I are getting married in Chapel Hill on 10/23/10, ceremony and reception are both at a friend's horse farm. We have most stuff done, we're still working on what the guys are going to wear, transportation, and little details. But we're getting there!

We have two dogs, a crazy mutt named Izzy and a beagle named Charlotte (Alyson from the board helped us pick out Charlotte at APS!) Not sure if they can handle being part of the ceremony but it's an idea we're been tossing around...

Hey. Sorry I'm late to the party everyone

I am Alyson (Allie) and my FI's name is Nathan.  We've been engaged since last July and will be getting married on Sept. 19th on the beach in Surf City.  We are all but done with the wedding planning, only minor things now.  Check out our website for all the fun details.

We live and work around RTP in Durham.  We have 3 "kids": Cecelia, a dog; Twitchy, a bunny; and Shelby, a box turtle (all rescues!).  As Corinne mentioned, FI and I volunteer at the APS.

PS, Corinne - We are trying to figure out a way to include Cecelia, but we know she will be too overwhelmed to walk down the isle.  Let me know if you come up with something. I could always try to walk Twitchy down the isle, but she hates her leash

My name is Malea and my FI is Jason.  We've been dating since our senior year at Western Carolina University...unbelievably its been almost 4 years!

We live in Lake Wylie, SC which is just across the border from Charlotte.  We got engaged late February and since we already have lived together and have a house together we opted to go for a pretty short engagement and will be tying the knot on September 5th!  We're going back towards the mountains and will be getting married at Rumbling Bald Resort in Lake Lure and I can hardly wait.  We've gotten most everything nailed down and I'm on cruise control right now.  I've been pretty impressed with planning skills with only having 6 months to get it together.  Wahoo!

My name is Elizabeth and my FI is Mike.  We've been dating for over two years and met at the Breakfast Club in Charlotte.  We are getting married on March 5, 2011 in Charlotte and I currently have a dress, bridesmaids' shoes, shutterbooth, reception venue (Piper Glen), and MOB dress.  As you can see, my decided items are haphazard and scattered. 

I'm currently working on finalizing a DJ and Photographer.  Does anyone have any suggestions on Split Second Sound vs. Audio to Go??  Same price but with one I get two DJs.  Thoughts?

My name is Jen, FI is Seth.  We're getting married Sept 12th in Raleigh at the Peace College chapel and then a reception at Caffe Luna.  We live in Raleigh and have pretty much everything all set - just down to the little details now (centerpieces, hair/makeup, transportation) that we need to get taken care of!  I just had my first dress fitting on Saturday so I'm still riding on that high for now

We have known each other since 10th grade (2001). Got engaged in October 2008.

Hi! Just got on the NC board for the first time today! I am Jennie and my FI's name is Matt. I am pretty new to all of the planning and whatnot, so we just started thinking about dates. We are looking at Sept. 10th, 2011 or October 1st 2011. I am living in Wilmington right now, he lives in the Morehead city area. Looking to have our wedding in Wilmington, but need to find some good sites. Ideally an indoor/outdoor setting would be wonderful, any ideas (on anything really since I have just started all of this! ? Looking forward to chatting with you guys soon!
