Okay... I need some inspiration. Can I see your invites? Can you tell me if u decided Vegas themed or not and where u got them? I am also curious how you guys handled the registry, we don't want gifts but the invitation board says its bad etiquette to put anything with the invitation. Which means I would have to do a website and I know several guests that don't have Internet, let alone a computer. Shocking... I know. : Thanks in advance for the help!!

I have pictures of my invitations in my bio, clicky.  I did them myself.  I found invitations I liked for my inspiration and designed them in photoshop.  I then got them printed through Zazzle.

We were in the same boat of not wanting gifts.  I did not have a bridal shower- even though several people offered to host one.  So we just simply did not register.  I had a wedding website and there was no mention of anything on there about gifts.  We had a lot of people ask us what we wanted and we simply stated that we ddin't want anything and that we would just be happy if they could make it. Which was the honest truth.  We did not get any gifts at the wedding.  But we did get several cards with money or gift cards in the mail.  We also got some physical gifts from friends/family following the wedding.  We graciously accepted those gifts, promptly sent thank you's and left it at that.  We did not decline gifts as I feel that would also be rude.  But with that said you have to be prepared to get some random gifts if you choose not to register.  Such as my mother got us a marriage license engraved holder .... Honestly would I pick out something like that?  No, but that is what we got for not giving her a little direction by doing a registry.  Just my two cents

These are the invites that I ordered off of etsy.com.  I've gotten so many compliments on them.   We also aren't registering and didn't put anything on our website.  We don't expect gifts/cards, their being able to join us would be presents enough.  But if someone does give us a gift/card, I will be sending out "thank -you"s as soon as we get home.

We're using Vegas-themed STDs and "regular" invitations. I haven't picked the invitations yet since it's so far away.

Like PPs, we aren't including a registry page on our website, nor are we registering for gifts. We're declining all offers for showers because I KNOW my family/friends will want to invite people who aren't invited to the wedding, and I'm not getting into that hot mess if I can help it.

You can check out my invitations in the link to my bio in my signature below.  I found mine on Zazzle and the designer was really great about incorpating any customizations I needed.  I haven't updated my bio, but I recieved them about two weeks ago and they look so fabulous.  Highly recommned the metallic champagne paper stock!

I also ordered pocket folds, belly bands and metallic envelopes from from a site called Cards and Pockets.  I'm still waiting for those to arrive though.

I didn't do Vegas themed but did add the skyline of the strip at the bottom with a lil Vegas sign. Pics in my bio, link in my siggy. Invites were really hard for me! HTH

We had sort of traditional pocket fold invitations custom made by >THIS< Etsy seller. They included a Destination card, with a map of the Strip on the back, a Mad Lib RSVP and a belly band. The designer (she's great BTW) also created matching CD labels, favor tags, thank you notes, ceremony webcast announcements, escort cards, signature cocktail signs, labels and stamps.
The Destination card I mentioned also included our wedding website address but there was no mention of the registry on them (the ladies are right, it is bad etiquette). On the website there was a page dedicated to registry info but I don't think you should feel obligated to have one if you don't want it, word of mouth usually works just as well.

Thank you!  You don't really need photoshop but elements help, and i've even seen people use power point... If you like them I can change the colors for you very easily and send you the .jpg.  Just an idea.  The save the dates where very easy to make ... And I still have all the files so it's pretty easy to change the colors/fonts.  :)
