In suite help

i have been in contact with other brides that had in suite receptions at MB and were able to bring in their own alcohol and bartender. My wedding co ordinator is telling me I have to hire a MB bartender and I am not allowed to bring in my own booze.
Do any of you know about this change?? I need your opinions before i call them.
Please help

Outside catering has never been allowed at MB.....they just usually turn a blind eye to it. Your coordinator has to make sure you understand their policy and sign a contract indicating that you do.

Are you using MB catering?  I would think that would be the only way they can really make you adhere to those rules.  Otherwise its a room and you can do as you see fit in it unless security makes a big stink.
People bring in lots of alcohol for all kinds of reasons, bachelor parties etc.  So bell services is used to helping bring it up.

I am using MPC for food, gourmet service which is fine for MB because no one is serving any food just dropping it off. Queenklm33- i thought the same about booze, i paid for the suite just like any other room where people bring booze all the time.

Adhere to the Don't ask, Don't tell policy.  There is no way they could single out your bartender coming up to the room.  What if you had a guest serving drinks??  I wouldn't fret over it, I am sure it would be fine.
I would worry more about a DJ and a noise complaint that someone I paid to serve drinks.

Not true.  Much of the fine print says that outside catering, parties, etc. are not allowed in the rooms.  They just turn a blind eye.  However, you are breaking the rules so just be cautious.
