Canaletto Restaurant - Reception Info

I haven't noticed anyone mention having hosted their reception at Canaletto Restaurant at the Venetian. Has anyone been there (for dinner or a wedding) and have any reviews?

I just had my reception there last week!

Not sure if you have contacted them yet, but they are incredibly reasonable. We  went with dinner option 2. It includes guest choice between 3 entrees, salad, pasta, side dishes, bread, a champagne intermezzo, and fresh fruit for $59 a person. We added a few appetziers and a champagne toast. I don't really rememmber the food, but my guests raved about it.

They did not offer a beverage package, so everything is per drink, but you do have the option of ordering bottles of wine for the table.

We had the murano room which has balconies that look out over the canal. The room was beautiful and everyone loved it.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hmmm... I could swear your planning bio was one of the MANY I've stalked and yet I didn't remember reading about Canaletto. That's great to hear you enjoyed it!

Did you find that they offered more of a restaurant experience - or did it feel like a reception? I'm seriously debating between the Botero restaurant at the Wynn where we wouldn't be fully segregated and as such can't really do the typical speeches, first dance, etc - but the ambiance would be stunning without us having to add decor, and our second choice is Maggianos which would offer us more of the traditional experience but wouldn't be fully taking advantage of the ambiance of Vegas.

Did the Canaletto set-up offer you any flexibility other than just dinner?

Thanks so much for your help!

I love Canaletto! It is one of my family's favorite restaurants in town.

The outside "patio" seating is very restaurant-ish but I do recall seeing events upstairs, which is more secluded and would make a nice reception space. I have always had luck getting last minute reservations and requesting off menu items so they seem pretty flexible to me. I suggest you try calling the restaurant directly and talking to them, although they may send you to Venetian's catering office.

They have several private rooms upstairs with a private bar as well. All of the private rooms overlook the piazza, but our room was the only room with actual balconies.

We liked being secluded from the rest of the restaurant. We did the big introduction, proseco toast and speeches, cake cutting, etc.  They do not allow amplified sound, but you can bring an mp3 player and dock and play your own music if you want.  Luckily for us, there was a string trio playing in the piazza during our entire dinner, and it could be heard perfectly in our room. Free entertainment!

Canaletto is not technically part of the Venetian, so you would work with Canaletto's Events Coordinator directly. If you would like, I can email you the reception information that was sent to me originally to give you a better idea on prices and what is included.

    Thanks!
